These are the scam mails currently sent by the fake Sarah Lewis. Again, the travel agency is also fake, and is part of the scam. This scammer is not really in the UK; the emails are sent from Nigeria, as proven by the IP addresses, eg 41.71.178.197 - Lagos, Nigeria.

What to expect as an Au Pair
As an Au Pair you have to be a single person between the age of 17 and 27, without dependents who wish to travel to the United Kingdom to live with a family so that you can learn the English Language and gain experience and understanding on our culture and ways of British life.
Some host families look for short term or summer Au Pairs, but the majority of families are looking for long term Au Pairs. Some Au Pairs stay with their host families from 6 months to 2 years. In this time you will make great new friends from fellow students you will meet attending English Classes, as well as being a friend to your host family and their children.

It's not ALL easy!

Make no mistake - being an Au Pair is not easy! You need to be prepared to take on certain everyday household tasks, involving on average 1-2 hours each day 5 days a week. Example housework duties may be vacuuming, dusting, ironing, preparing light meals, tidying and other such work. This will have been advised and agreed in the host family’s registration form.

You will also need to take responsibility for the family's children when required, a job which can be challenging at the beginning as the children learn to adapt to someone new & you learn their weekly routine. You will need to show them that you are committed to their well-being so that they feel safe and happy in your care. Make sure that you have quality time with the children everyday by allocating a time when you can give them your full attention. During this time do a fun activity with them that they really enjoy (bake a cake, draw, paint, make something, play outdoors, cycling, go to the park etc). As you do something fun together everyday they will quickly begin to enjoy your company and you will naturally develop a close and lasting friendship with them. Never make personal phone calls or email your friends when you are alone with the children: this sends out the message to the children that you are not interested in them and they are likely to behave badly as a result!

You will be treated as one of the family, within a family, assisting in caring for the children in the home.If you have agreed to be a driving Au Pair then you may be required to drop off and pick up the children to and from school or their meeting area (host families will have advised and agreed this with you in their registration form and in conversations you have had prior to arrival).

Life in the UK is lively and fun

In exchange for helping the host family with their housework and children you can expect to have a rewarding and life-changing experience. Life in the UK is lively and fun, so get out as much as possible in your free time and visit people and places. On arrival in the UK you will receive a Welcome Pack from our agency with telephone numbers for other Au Pairs in your area. Your host family will also direct you to the nearest language school where you can enrol to study English as a Foreign Language for around 4-6 hours per week with homework assignments in between. You will meet lots of other Au Pairs and young people at the language school so it is well worth attending. The cost of classes varies a good deal, so it is worth comparing schools. State funded schools offer free classes to nationals of the European Union.
There are also many Learn Direct Courses on offer and other self study opportunities.

As an Au Pair coming to the UK you will be responsible for paying for your transport to come over to England. The host family will meet you at your destination whether it is at an airport, bus station, train station or port. Your new host family will help you look for suitable colleges/schools to help you enrol on courses to study English. Some colleges can charge you a fee, which could be around £200 a term. All college fees are your responsibility in paying for and not the responsibility of the host family, however, the host family may lend you the money which you can pay back on a weekly basis from your pocket money. In some cases it has be known that the host family will help pay towards the costs of college (normally for Au Pairs who stay 12 months +). If you are an Au Pair coming form an EU Country and there are Adult Education Centres near to your host families' home then you may be entitled to free classes/lessons and only have to pay for the exam fees.
