The email address given by this scammer is not the email address of the real UK Border Agency. The genuine UK Border Agency website is here:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/

and if you look here:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/conta ... ctcentres/

you will see their genuine email addresses. All genuine UK Border Agency email addresses end with @ukba.gsi.gov.uk - and with no words or abbreviations after that.

The email address for the fake UK Border Agency which this scammer uses ends with @london.com - this is a free webmail address, provided by mail.com

The genuine UK Border Agency or British Embassy will never ask anyone for a Western Union transfer.

If someone makes the fake 'proof of funds' by a Western Union transfer, the scammer is able to collect that money himself, using just the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) which is on the scanned receipt. He may then try to steal more money by inventing a fake story about a bank account that needs to be opened.
