Scams offering fake Au Pair positions
by Chris Fuller Mon Apr 04, 2011 6:05 am
This is not a genuine au pair opportunity; it is a scam. The scammer, possibly via another fake person, company, or government department (lawyer, travel agency, embassy, UK Border Agency), will request money for a visa, work permit, flight tickets, or other 'necessary travel/employment documents'; or will ask you to make a 'proof of sufficient funds'. This money will then be stolen from you. The scammer will not obtain any documents for anyone; and does not really have an au pair position to offer.

Hello.

Am a single mother of two kids. I wish to find a humble aupair who will take good care of my kids while am at work or attending meetings. I live with my kids in 31 promenade flat 5. SA1 6EN, Swansea, United Kingdom.Am a college tutor. My kids kele and julie are 3 and 5 years of age respectively. You are to work for 30 hours in a week and have weekend and other free times for your self. Most people prefer to enrol in a course in the college with their free periods. Your salary will be 320 pounds per week.

We leave close to the train station and other public shops. You will live in with us so as to keep a close look at the kids. you will make use of one of the bed rooms. we live in a house with 3 bedrooms. I dont have pets and am not against smoking, but you will have to smoke outside the house. I am looking for aupair who will resume work from June and stay atleast 5 months. Let me know if you will like to work with me and the kids.

Kindly see attachment for i and the kids picture.
Thanks.bye.

If you are looking for an au pair position in the UK, please contact the British Embassy in your own country to check UK entry requirements. You can find the genuine British Embassy website by Google searching 'British Embassy' and the name of your country. Note that a genuine British Embassy email address will always end with @fco.gov.uk (and with no words or abbreviations after that).

Do not send money to any agency, embassy, lawyer, or other person introduced to you by a potential employer. If you wish to consult the UK Border Agency, do not use an email address or website address given to you by your potential employer, but go to the genuine website here:
