Scams offering fake Au Pair positions

This is not a genuine au pair opportunity; it is a scam.

from Dany Smith <[email protected]>

Hi dear,

Am Mrs Dany Smith, 37years old from United Kingdom writing you on behalf of the whole family. We are a very down to earth family. We like sports - ball, cars, motorcycles, water night out or a blockbuster. We are very goal oriented and strive for the best in our life. It is too short to look back. Our family do not like to judge a book by the cover or take gossip to determine who will be around. We always try to stay positive and find the best in anyone or any situation including the worst ones.
We want someone who is honest and hard working, yet who has a very friendly, playful personality to be a nanny for our daughter. Someone who easily laughs and likes playing with children. Someone with a good sense of humor. Your job is to take our child (James and Ashley) to school and bring her back home, play with them, playground, watching movies, prepare/serving their foods. I will appreciate your response to know if you are interested

Thanks for your positive response. We live at 37 canada road, Crayford, Erith, Greater London DA8 2HF. You are required to spend time with the child (I wrote daughter in my first email which was a typing error), running errands, house cleaning and light cooking is a possibility, but not really a requirement. I prefer an Au pair who will reinforce our desire to teach our children responsibilities and do not expect the Au pair to undertake the children assigned tasks but instead to find ways to encourage them to complete tasks ( ie making their beds, keeping their rooms orderly, clearing the table after dinner, loading the dishwasher, putting toys away) in a responsible way.

We will provide you with a car for your use both in your free time and for work (that is for picking up James (8years) and Ashley (10years) at school), membership to health and fitness center and pay for you health insurance. We have internet facilities in the house for your use, private room with bathroom. We are offering you 420GBP per week for your service. I want you to take few moment to answer the below questions for me.
What are your academics qualifications?
Do you have certificate to back up you Aupair/Nanny Career?
Do you have kid(s)?
Do you have any alergy or eating disorder?
Do you have any pet(s)?
When do you wish to start and for how long?
What are your interests?
Can you send some photo?
Do you have a work permit?
Do you have any criminal records?
I would like to see, if possible your Curriculum Vitae (CV) or preferences. Your answers will be highly appreciated. Take a good care of yourself.

Thanks for taking time to answer my question. I must confess that am impressed after reading through your answers. Am also glad to know of your willingness to work and care for our child. For the effective processing of your permit you would have to contact the agency that helped our previous au pair from Austria. They will handle all necessary documentation efficiently. You can contact the agency at

They are in it for the money. Whatever we do, they do find some victims. Nobody knows how many.
