Is this a scam ? I received this today, I'm looking for job at aupair-world.net, but I use a different email than the one which I received this..

Dear Au pair.

We are a Canadian family living in UK we read your profile at AUPAir world. net and we have decided that you to come and nanny our Child Peter.
We currently have an energetic child who is 4 years old, we looking for a nanny from Any Country that can speak English and is willing to stay with us for a minimum of 12 month(s).We found you as one who meets our requirements, having read your profile and we are offering you a position in my family hoping you would accept.
About Our Family

We are a professional couple, living in a big UK city. My Child is fairly easy going and relaxed, he would enjoy someone with lots of energy and enthusiasm. Having English as a first language is not required and in fact, we would entertain the nanny speaking to him in her own mother-tongue.
We only seek a nanny, If you accept to take a position with us, you would be paid 3500GBP with a weekly pocket money of 400Pounds. I guess you'd say this is much, but the Company pays us well and I love my only child/Wife so much. Hence we are doing anything that would motivate you putting your best in taking care of my lovelely son peter.

Should you accept the offer, we are willing to undertake the full cost of your traveling down here in UK. We would recommend a reputable travel agency immediately here in UK that would process your travel documents because we need you quite soon. Hence you can send your updated resume/cv if you are interested.
Please communicate your interest to me through my direct mobile line +447024030097 so that we can discuss your travel arrangements and also my Son's birthday is on the 26th of April and I would very much want you to be there.
We sincerely look forward to hearing from you.
Best Wishes

Hi Dreamscometrue
unfortunately this is just another scammer. The poor writing style gives that away
and googling parts of the email lead to many other scam warning website.

Also, the 4470 phone number is a UK Re-direct number used by scammers to transfer calls to where ever in the world they are.

The pay rate they offer is so far above what an aupair would normally receive is another sign of a scammer.

Scam sites that have reported this same or similar emails are here

http://www.4nannies.com/info/nanny-scams.cfm
http://cyberpolicestation.com/spam-emai ... cestation/

A similar email was also reported here in SW last month
viewtopic.php?f=34&p=49884

googling this phrase "Having English as a first language is not required and in fact, we would entertain the nanny speaking to him in her own mother-tongue." gives over 72,000 results, all scams.

Sorry, but this is just another scammer

Welcome to Scamwarners.
100% scam. The English is strange, and the pay is impossibly high for an au-pair. And that isn't a cellphone number but a free redirect number that transfers your call elsewhere.
