Welcome here Dana1981.

Yes, it's a scam. You are right, that amount of money is way too much, one of the signs for a scam.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

Hello,

So, I just got this email and I really think its a scam because of the phone #..

Dear Aupair, We are Federigo??Ts family from Milan Italy. We are a nice and fun loving family and currently based in London in England (UK). I work as a Production Engineer for CC-Energy a UK based Oil and Gas Company. My wife Audrey works with the same company as an Administrative Assistant. If you need to inquire about the authenticity of our employment with the company and our current posting to (UK), you could contact our company www.cc-energy.co.uk ([email protected]) We require the services of an aupair who would take care of our kids. Our busy schedule prompted us to seek the assistance of an aupair, we searched for potential nannies on www.findaupair.com and we found your profile and liked it. Your basic duties would be to take care of our kid. We have a maid who would undertake of housework hence your basic responsibility is with our kid. Indicate your interest by sending us your picture phone number and some character references for us to evaluate and consider you for the position. Let us hear from you so that we can discuss more on the offer. You can contact me on this e mail address [email protected] or via my direct mobile phone number +447045778383 or +447024046559 Best regards Niyol Federigo .M For the family

I always get email like this from findaupair.com or at least they say they saw my profile there..

Hi Dannizinha,
I'm absolutely sure this is a scam. I am registered on www.findaupair.com and I've received EXACTLY THE SAME email right now, and I clicked on their Family ID to see their profile. But it wasn't theri profile, it was a family from USA. That seemed strange, so I looked up and saw this email had been sent to me with the subject "reply from Dixton family" (which is a different surname of the Family profile from USA, and obviously different to Federigo).
Then,I went into the website of "CC-Energy" to definitively check my thoughts. As you can see, the "website" is really amateur, and if I still had any doubts, I looked down and saw and ad that said:<<This website has been done using Yola. Create free your own website. No need of HTML skills, just few minutes>> or something like that. And if I had STILL any doubts, I looked at the "Projects"wondow, clicked on one of the projects, and it sent me to a pdf document of the website of ANOTHER enterprise. Whatever, if you tried to contact them (the supposed enterprise to check federigo's identity) using email, they won't answer because, as they say:
<<This is to inform you that we are currently updating our E-mail portals for a better and reliable service delivery. We understand that you may be experiencing fail delivery notice while trying to send us an E-mail. Note that this problem will be resolved soonest..>>

I think you won't have any doubts after all these mistakes... ;)

Welcome here Dannizinha.

You are right, that phone number is a +4470 redirect number, which will connect your call to the scammers mobile phone wherever he is in the world. It is a free service that is very popular with scammers, as the number looks British. You can read more about these numbers in this topic

[b]hello
eh been swindled by a family called "niyol Federigo" say they live in London and are Italian nationals
They pretend to be an engineer company in which he and his wife work, they ask me for my for my family, what they study, ask for my ID, and after a few emails I sent an employment contract, and then enters an email that passes through the ministry of the interior of the United Kingdom, then sure, I thought that everything was more serious, and I believed him and the ministry of the United Kingdom is serious, the ministry asks you to open up a money bank account in which you asked to send by western union estarlinas 1000 pounds but that you send in your name so they can open your bank account, and when you're beyond say they will recover then I thought that as sent my name I had to pick ..... but I had forgotten that they had scanned all my documentation, then when they say they have all the documents ready to ask you for money they will send it by DHL and I had to send 450 estarlinas pounds more, and one day before the trip will say that the bank account could not be done because it had not changed at banks and legislation needed to send on behalf of such a cook agnes which allegedly was carrying my documentation in the Interior Ministry, the amount of 1.350 pounds estarlinas was there when I realized everything, and now I have no fear and do as they have all my documentation passport, identity card, my studies titles all scan, and he thought it was the Home Office in the UK, thanks to God alone and lost money, and that can be recovered, but sending this email not to allow this family to continue cheating, since you have properly assembled pages enterprise web, web site ministerior inside, you get phones and phone numbers, talking with parents and even the girl, and I hope you can advise me where to report, especially for my documents, and also for all the nannies, who just want to work and find a family that will take us into his home and treated us well. I'm sorry you have been scammed, and I want to thank you for posting this warning.

Could you please post the email addresses you got?

Your English is a little hard to understand; I'm not English, either :D .
Paola sounds Italian? If you are Italian, you can send me a private message in your language - use the PM button below my avatar (the cat), and I'll write you back in Italian.

Yes, it is. This is not a native English speaker. They are using a redirect phone number so they look like they are in the UK, but they are not.

This is a scam and thank you for posting it for others to find.
