Crap! I almost got into his offer! Feel pity for my girlfriend who was eager to work with him with a good pay. He even YM her in details about his current job in ExxonMobil, willing to pay her scholarship breached contract, provide an apartment for both of us, his wife own a supermarket, and even provide me a job!

Chester address is also not valid in the google map.

David, can you explain more why this is a scam? should I proceed to call/email him to gather about the deal that has been offered, or ignore him?

Cheers.

p/s: I lived in Leicestershire for my postgraduate study.

Hi, David isn't around yet, in the meantime some evidence why this is a scam:

- the wages offered are ridiculously high: GBP 740 a week!
- the language is African English
- he says he is from Dubai but has an Aglo-Saxon name
- but most important of all: Nobody can arrange a visa for you. You need to go to the British embassy in your own country in person.

The only goal of the scammer is to make you pay for imaginary fees and a flight ticket; the "flight ticket" will be a screen shot of of an online booking process - the last stage before actually paying. Anyone can do that.

Welcome here amhack159.

The best thing to do is to ignore the emails coming from this scammer. Unless he has a new pre written script and email address, there's no need to bother with getting more information. Besides the points that Katharina already mentioned, being an au pair isn't a job, and one doesn't need all the contracts, permits or legal documents that these au pair scammers invent with the only purpose to make the victim pay for them. That money will end up straight into the scammers pocket.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

Hello ayhel, and welcome to ScamWarners.

Yes, scammers and their accomplices will call you on the phone in order to trick you that they are genuine. This is, however, definitely a scam.

Also, as a citizen of the Philippines, I'm sorry to tell you that you are not eligible to go to the UK as an au pair. You can read about this here:

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply ... thmobility

And this confirms that au pairs must apply under the Youth Mobility Scheme:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... 5/aupairs/

Please stop all contact with this scammer; his only intention is to steal money from you.
