Habib Family

Thank you, thank you very much to this forum for saving my money!!!
A week ago, the Habib family contacted me. It all seemed very nice and they gave me the e-mail from his lawyer. From her fake lawyer. This lawyer sent me a PDF file; in the file said that I had to make a transfer of 650£ to received a work permit. They say:

'You have to visit the nearest western union office in you area and
make a western union transfer of 650GBP to UK using the name of any of
your relative as the sender and your own name as the receiver.as soon
as you arrive here the funds would be made available for you that is
why you were asked to make the transfer with your name
Send to my Barr a scanned copy of the receipt so she can acquire your
certificate of eligibilty'

This was very suspicious, but I was willing to pay... but I searched the e-mail of the lawyer on google, and saw this page (http://www.scamwarners.com). Then I saw the message from a person; that person lived something similar to what happened to me.
Then I searched 'Habib' and I found several messages; the family had written the same on all the letters. The name of the daughter, the room, the salary... I have exactly the same messages.
Thanks to this forum I have not lost 650 pounds! I hope this family can not cheat anyone else.

I'm glad that you researched the lawyer and the family, and discovered that both are fake.

This scammer has previously used the email addresses:

Unfortunately, scammers use fake names and set up email addresses using false information, so it can be impossible to discover their real identities. Also, most au pair scammers are really living in Nigeria or Malaysia, and an international arrest is not possible - even if we could find out who they really are.
