John Archibald Wheeler - Is it a scam?

Hello,
I was searching for a family in the UK for working as an au pair. But I got suspicious because the lawyer for a contract assignment wanted to have a money transfer via Western Union. Earlier I had already doupts because Mr. Archibald didn't wanted to send me information about where he lives or to send pictures. First he wanted that I write to a traven agency : ([email protected]) and when I told him that I don't need a visa or anything he told me that we need a contract assignment and gave me an email-address: [email protected]. The answer was in a very bad english and demanded money. Thats why I'm writing know.
Please help me that my assumption is right and that it is a scam.

Hello Au Pair applicant,
How are you doing.?We would be very happy to have you in our family
to share new experiences. We enjoy in meeting people coming from
different countries and cultures and would like to give such great
opportunity to our kids Sherman and Scott. We live in UK. in a very
quite area but not so far from underground Rail to reach city center

We need an help mainly in taking care and look after my kids
From 8:30 to 9:00 we need an help in preparing Sherman and Scott and
to bring them to the school (9-10 min walking).
From 16:30 to 19:30: Au pair should take them back from school and
then stay with them play, wash their uniforms,cook for them,and make
them comfortable before we get back from work.

We also need an help family general housekeeping (vacuuming, ironing,
...) during the week (max 8 hours). No actual preference on the
timing. We can arrange it in order to meet Au pair's preferences.

About the salary it is negotiable anyways but i will offer you 2800
Pounds monthly and 50 pounds weekly.Please if you are interested in

I'm sorry, you are right, it's a scam. The header says "Nigeria" , and the language says it, too.
