Scams offering fake Au Pair positions
by srlm Fri Aug 12, 2011 10:45 pm
I receive this email a few days ago, it sound like it could be real but before I waste my time with a answer, I would like to know if its another fake

Hi there, We are a friendly Dad, Mom and mom My name is philip and my wife name is sarah and daughter name is ciara family that live in a village close to Manchester in the north-west of England. I am 38 year old British (from Irish parents) and my wife 36, is from Namibia. We are quite flexible and understand that you would like to see the area and enjoy your time with us and on your own. We enjoy days out and would like you to be a part of these (if you like off course ;)

Our daughter Ciara-Emily, enjoys drawing, singing, swimming, walks, playing in the park and dancing. It is important to us that she is entertained (kept busy) with various activities - and here I have to add that most of the time the simple things in life, can keep her busy for hours;) We are fairly laid back in approach to life so I think we are quite easy going family!

We would love an au pair that is confident, caring, reliable & good with children. Preferably non-smoker & preferably someone that can drive. We would like our au pair to be flexible. Ciara spends some time in the local tots club (with your supervision), which we would like to continue and a few hours perhaps one or two days a week at the childminders - but we would also like someone who would help with her education and development in other areas as previously stated. We would be looking for your help for at least four or five days per week and some light work around the house too.

And there will be a car at you disposal to take you to anywhere you want unless you feel like working.

You work hours will be 3-5 hours a day and 4 hours for satursday and sunday.

if you are interested please contract me and send more details about yourself and when you will like to start

Best regards
Philip and sarah

Unfortunately, I can tell you that letter was not written by a British person. The writer makes key mistakes that are typical of an African, but would never be made by a British person.

This tells me that it is certainly a scam.
