Hello albaquerque and welcome to ScamWarners. Thank you for posting about this scammer.

It is unlikely that he really lives in England - he probably lives in Nigeria or Malaysia, like most au pair scammers. The address will certainly not be his own address, and the telephone number, like all telephone numbers which begin +4470, is not a normal UK telephone number; it is a 'redirect' number, which redirects all calls to the scammer's mobile phone, in whichever country he really lives.

The photos he sent you will have been stolen from an innocent family's Facebook or MySpace profile, from a personal website, or possibly downloaded from a modelling agency website. The family shown in the photos have no connection to the scam - the scammer is just using their photographs, pretending that they are photos of his own family.

Scammers are criminals, and if they have any suspicion that you are gathering information about them, they can become threatening towards you. Therefore, it is important that you never try to gather information about any scammer unless you are experienced and knowledgeable about how to stay totally anonymous online. If you are interested about learning how to do this, you can join our sister site, 419eater, where you can be helped and guided. Please start by reading here:

http://www.419eater.com/html/baiting.htm

which includes a warning about the possible dangers.

Remember that even if this scammer is far away in Nigeria or Malaysia, he may have friends or relatives living in your own country or even in your own town. So please don't continue researching this criminal who can potentially threaten you in a very worrying manner.

Thank you, Bagira. Could you start a 'New Topic' for Paullet Walsh, and post there the scam mail you received from Paullet; this will be helpful for other au pairs who have also received this fake offer.

In the New Topic for Paullet Walsh, you can add a link to this thread if you wish, to show others that Paullet Walsh is using the same email text (or phone number, or fake address, or whatever) as the fake Mr Bolton Slatter.
