Au Pair scammers change their fake family's names quite frequently, but often use the same copy-and-pasted email texts with the new family's names inserted instead. Sometimes they change their texts, but use the same telephone numbers, or the same fake agency or fake lawyer for their new pretend-family.

At other times, however, completely different au pair scammers use the pre-written text which another scammer also uses. So you can have three or four different and completely independent scammers, all using the same texts for their emails.

Thank you for posting this message which you received. If you are looking for an au pair position in the United States, please read these US Government webpages about the US Au Pair Program:

Never send money to any agency, embassy, lawyer, or other person introduced to you by a potential host family, nor make a money transfer between yourself and a friend or relative on the instruction of a host family or anyone else who they have introduced to you.

Thankyou for posting the story a. I noticed the travel agency name. The said agency is a reputable, hard working friendly company out of the UK, not the US. I'm no expert but one would not be expecting a reputable company to have a rocketmail contact address for email queries.

Scammers frequently use the name of real agencies - but they do not give you the genuine email address of the real agency; instead they give you an email address which they themselves have created. Therefore, all emails sent by 'the agency' are actually sent by the same scammer who is pretending to be the host family, or by one of his criminal accomplices.
