Hi music21. It sounds dubious to me. The travel agency doesn't sound legit. Why is a company using a yahoo email address? Others will add comments too no doubt. I would stay well clear of this.

Yes, it is a scam. No travel agency can arrange a visa for you; visas must be applied for at the Embassy, Consulate, or Visa Application Centre in your own country.

In truth, apart from Europeans, citizens of very few countries are permitted to go to the UK as an au pair.

If you also click on 'Working and conditions' on the left hand side of that webpage, you will be able to confirm that this is the correct visa for au pairs.
