Dear Au Pair,

How are you doing? hope all is well with you and your family over there.
The reason why am writing you this concise message is just to know whether you
can be an Au pair for my kids. I am Mrs.Eunice Parker a Married woman, with two kids namely Jennifer and Micheal, 2 and 4years respectively. I have an Au pair at the moment but will
soon be leaving, her contract is ending in less than two weeks time. Initially
she wish to stay more longer but she later told me that she had an urgent
appointment which she must attend to in her country. Do you have Passport if you
do you don't need to be worried about your travel document. In the house we have
a Puppy Dog and two Rabbits , I have some one taking care of the Pets in terms
of washing, and cleaning together with feeding. Your responsibilities is just to be
with the kids and your presence will be figured to my kids like that of a Mother
to Children while am at work, well this all you have to do. I would like to know
if you will accept this offer so that I can arrange how you going to get here so
that you can start work. I Suggest to look for an Au pair/Nanny who will be God
fearing, hardworking and mostly honest in service. I'm Mrs. Eunice Parker and
live in Manchester, United Kingdom. I will want an Au pair that is ready to come
over here hopefully by next month and you will be treated as part of my
family and not just like an Au pair. Though i might be flexible on the date,
and your date of starting the work could be considered. You will be paid a sum
of 1,000 Pounds per month and a 50 Pounds weekly as your pocket money and will be
subjected to increment base on your performance. More so, I will want you play
with the kids and teach them new things so as to widen their horizon. You will
have full access to everything in my house and will be taking care of by me.

Lastly I would want you to know that we can arrange a part time English
study for you which is very near to my house and we will make all necessary
payments that's if you want to study. Hope you are satisfied with my
arrangements for you. If so kindly write back to discuss further on how we will
arrange your travel plans for you so that you can join my family soonest. Please
do get back to me and If you have any question, do not hesitate to ask me, I
will be looking forward to hearing from you soonest.

Hi!

I've received this mail yesterday. I had doubts about this au pair offert and i decided to respond her. I realized that it was a scam so I want to see what she really wants from me:

I enclose her new response:

Hello Au Pair,

I seriously appreciate your rapid reply knowing you are willing and ready to be part of my family. I really need you to come over here to assist me take proper care of my wonderful kids since I hardly have the time for them just as I previously explained, so I would appreciate you come over here if possible before ending of next Month but anytime soon, but since you don't have visa and work permit

Please Note the below details of the Travel Agency to contact to assist you with your Visa processing.

E-Mail: [email protected]

Do not hesitate to let them know you are from me as there could be some consideration in the charges so explain all you need for the travelling to UK to them and I assure that I will assist you with major part of what so ever amount needed for the processing of your Visa and Work Permit just to justify how urgent I need your services here as well as how serious I am about your coming down to work for my family as an Au Pair, so for now, do consider the job yours. As for how long you can work for my family, well i think that depend on how long you will like to work here with me but left for me, I do not intend to see you off in the next 2-3 years because I really would need your services. I will be very grateful if you respond better to me. You have nothing to worry about you will be treated like one of the family. Well hope to hear from you soonest.

Welcome here edgariglesias.

I am glad you found out it was a scam! What this scammer wants from you is your money. The travel agent is played by thesame scammer, and he will ask you to pay for the visa and other travel expenses.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

Hi!

I'm looking for an au-pair job. And the firsy family I found was later shown to be a scam, which I found out on this website. Because many people had got almost identical mails and with the same phonenumber to call the landlord for an appartment...

The new name is Joana Calcium & the man working as "landlord" is Keneth Brown.

BUT...
Now I have got a new offer and a new mail, from someone else.
And because it feels like I can't trust anyone out right now I want to ask you guys if you can tell me if this also is a scam or if this one actually is a real family.

So here's the mail (I have deleted names in case of it's a real mail) And I will also write down the ip-address shown in gmail.

Thanks for the quick answer!
Just what I thought it was.
If it sounds to good to be true, then it (nearly) always is.
Now I dont even have to bother answering haha

Just another small comment.. The email header looks wrong too. I would say parts of the header have been forged? IP # 2.2.3.46 is something I've never seen before? Never realised IP numbers were grouped in such a fashion.
