Greetings shanty. Yes it is a scam. Without going into detail, there are many grammaritical errors in the email you received. You say they haven't asked for money - well not yet they haven't, but that request will be in the next email you receive. Take note of the redirect phone number. Any email containing one of those 4470 phone numbers is a scam. viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13567 gives an earlier explanation if you wish to read it.

Thank you for your answer, I'm italian and I didn't realize the grammatical mistake.Yes i read the topic about phone number and for that reason i decided ask help,It was also strange they offer all that money....
thanks again

Yes that is how people become suckered in because the wages are made to sound very attractive indeed.
Your best course of action is to cease all communication with the frauds with immediate effect. The best thanks I can receive is if you keep the grubby fingers of the scammer out of your purse. The money is better staying in your pocket.

Ciao shanty!

I entered this part of the text into Google - between quotation marks like that
"Our residence is very open and near the city and there are other au pairs close by."

and got lots of hits on other scam warning sites. You can try this trick yourself next time you get a suspicious email. But of course you can come back here any time for advice.

Hello shanty82, and welcome to ScamWarners.

Could you also post the email address used by this scammer? This will be helpful for other au pairs who have also received these emails and who google the email address - they will then be able to also discover that this host family is fake and that it is a scam.
