Hello mazevedo, and welcome to ScamWarners.

Yes, they are both scams. For the genuine requirements for becoming an au pair in the United States, please read these US Government websites:

http://j1visa.state.gov/programs/au-pair/

http://j1visa.state.gov/participants/how-to-apply/

For the genuine regulations regarding non-Europeans becoming an au pair in the UK, please see here:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... ityscheme/

If you also click on 'Working and conditions' on the left hand side of that webpage, you will be able to confirm that this is the correct visa for au pairs.

You will notice that citizens of very few countries are eligible for a visa to become an au pair in the UK.

The UK Home Office address is also fake; it is another email address belonging to the same scammer who is writing the emails from the fake host family.

Please stop all contact with these scammers. They do not have genuine au pair positions to offer, and are aiming to steal money from you. I'm glad that you were suspicious about these fake offers, and took the time to ask about them.

If you would like to post the email address from the fake American family, also, this will be helpful to the other au pairs who have received this message, and who google the address.

I GOT 2 INDIVIDUALS ALRDY IDENTIFIED AS A SCAM AND THIS LAST ONE I GOT ...AM NOT SHO ABT IT ...PLIZ HELP...

Hello Dear,

I am Mrs. Shiella McCready a British citizen working and living here in London with my daughter and husband.
Our daughter Thelma will turn 4 years old by December which is few months from now
and we live alone with our daughter in our own house and home in the Central part of London UK
at Deansbrook Close, Edgware, London HA8 9BN, United Kingdom.
We are searching for an honest Aupair or a Nanny who will help us with the upkeep of our lovely daughter
each time we are not at home due to our various job engagements.

My close friend who got a good aupair from www.easyaupair.com recommended us to search
for an honest Aupair or a Nanny who will help us with the upkeep of our lovely daughter
each time we are not at home due to our various job engagements.
I saw your profile at www.easyaupair.com and I consider it nice to contact you.
There is a nice English Class around our area and I will enroll you into a language school
to improve your English if you are willing to attend, and I will take care of the cost and expense.
Also a car will be made available for you if you are willing to learn or drive
We have no pet in my home and i do virtually all the cooking at home.

Your duties will be mainly:

* To prepare her for school each morning.
* Help us bring our daughter back from school each day she goes to school.
* Hang out with her mostly to beaches, parks as she enjoys the company of a good friend.
That is why a car is made available for you if you will really drive. Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)
are free for you to meet your own personal life, plus any National holiday will be free too.

My family is indeed a lovely one and we will love you to join us as soon as you deem fit to.
We promise you it is going to be a memorable and wonderful time for the family.
This is actually our first time to search for an Aupair/ nanny, so we will like to negotiate on a suitable
wages or salary when you contact us. If you have interest in working for us you can contact me
via e mail ([email protected]) so that we can discuss and negotiate about the offer.

First we will get to know each other to an extent and you get to know us too.

Have a nice week and hope to hear from you soon.

Mrs. McCready.

It's a scam.

The writing is unmistakeably African, no surprise since the majority of individuals carrying out this particular scam are African.
