The Au Pair would then need to pick them up in the afternoon and look after the kids until we get back home from work. We have a very hardworking cleaner, so there will not be any heavy housework. There is a bit of light cleaning and laundry so there would be more free time in the day to go to language school or leisure if applicable.

How does the Au Pair live: The Au Pair would have her own room, which is huge, and has a double bed, with sitting area and TV/DVD/Video/Wi Fi. There is wireless broadband internet in the house. The Au Pair will have access to a personal car to run around if he/she knows how to drive.

Working hours:07.30 to 09.00 and 1520 to 1930Plus about 60-90 minutes of housework a day to fit in with the Au Pair's schedule. 25-30 hours a week. Benefit: The Au Pair will be paid per week of 750Pounds and a pocket money of 200 Pounds per week. I will also be responsible for some of the funds for your traveling documents.

Did you also tried investigating details about this person? What did you found out? I tried applying for this job and Mr. Bruce is very eager for me to send the needed money to the agency that he linked me to for my visa application. Shouldn't he be the one paying the charges since he's there in London and has a direct access on the agency. But he doesn't want to even to deduct the processing fee to the salary. I think it's a fake too. This job is bogus!

As Chris stated and you have correctly concluded, the au pair job does not exist. The scammer calling himself Mr Bruce, is only interested in stealing money from au pairs.

If possible, please could you post details of the agency that the scammer referred you to for your visa application. By posting the email address and an example of any emails that you have received from the agency (with your personal details removed/deleted), you will help other au pairs to avoid becoming a victim of the scammer.

Never ever send money to a host family, nor to anybody they have put you in contact with. A genuine host family will never require an au pair to send any money via Western Union or Moneygram to any agency.

Glimeperide, Scamwarners is run by volunteers with no investigative powers. We warn and advise only. In fact there are so many scammers, that not even the police have the resources to investigate in all but a very very small cases. And even then, there is almost nothing they can do.

JOB CODE OF CONDUCT(AGREEMENT)


Candidates position of an (Care-Giver Au pair/Nanny/Housekeeper/Driver) valid for a maximum period of 3 years and above.

Candidate are expected to work for approximately 40 hours per week (8 hours/day Monday to Friday). Every weekend, will be spent with your family or anywhere as you would have the weekends off.

The terms and conditions of the job are as follows:

WORKING HOURS:

*Your working days are Monday through Friday ,while Saturday and Sunday are your off days

*You will be required and expected to work for approximately 40 hours per week (8 hours/day Monday to Friday). Every weekend, will be spent with your family or anywhere as you would have the weekends off.


SALARY/WAGES ARE BELOW:

AU PAIR/NANNY: £3,000 Monthly (weekly allowance £150)
DRIVER: £3,200 Monthly (weekly allowance £150)
CAREGIVER: £3,000 Monthly (weekly allowance £150)
HOUSE SITTER: £3,000 Monthly (weekly allowance £150)

*Your performance will be reviewed periodically and your we shall make an adjustments to your salary as it sees fit. Additional hours (Overtime) will be paid at a rate that we may agree between ourselves from time to time. it equivalent to

*You are expected to resume duty as soon as you arrive here.
* You are expected to be a good and reliable worker.

DISCIPLINE:

Reasons which could give rise to disciplinary measures are as follows:

(1 Causing a disruptive influence in the HOME is prohibited.

(2) Job incompetence is not allowed.

(3) Conduct during or outside working hours prejudicial to my interests..

(4) Unreliability in time keeping or attendance.

(5) Failure to comply with our reasonable instructions or procedures.

(6) Theft or other dishonest offenses will be dealt with.

(7) Drunkenness not allowed.

(8) Illegal drug taking prohibited.

(9) Child abuse or neglect highly prohibited.


NOTE: That any Activities of improper conduct will also be our concern too, you will be highly required to be of your best behavior (in or outside) as you work for us to protect our good name.

TRAVEL PROCESSING EXPENSES:

*You are expected to shoulder the processing for your visa and other necessary legal documents needed for your arrival.

*The host family is ready to shoulder 50% percent part of your travel fee for your convenience

It may be helpful for you to know that citizens of very few non-European countries are permitted to go to the UK as an au pair, and also that Domestic Worker visas are only available for people who have been employed by the family for at least one year in another country.
