Hello there

please read whole converse and request you to tel me is it a scam on me or if its not then guide what should i do in this case .

Hello,

I do understand what you have passed through but I cannot help the situations now. I have already informed you that we have also had this experience before, that is why my husband now came up with this new policy, that any new employee must take care of his or her work permit papers only, and then we will take care of his or her flight ticket, visa and other immigration fees.

We can terminate this appointment if your mind does not accept this procedure, then I will search for another person that can follow up this procedures. Let me clarify you, that i am a child of God almighty and I can not involve myself in anything that will dent my image in sight of God almighty.

If you want I can send you my account details, my family pictures or my passport identity card or even send you my call to bar certificate as your guarantee/security.

Looking forward to your urgent response on this issue let me know what next to do if you are no more interested.

Cindy

Hello,

I received your email. I received a phone call from somebody speaking on your behalf regarding this job offered to you. This is to inform you that i cannot go beyond this new policy. You are required to take care of your work permit alone, then we will take care of the remaining immigration documents that will enable you resume duty here in UK and there is no way you start work here in UK without acquiring your work permit here in UK, therefore, you cannot be issued a work visa without your work permit been ready here in UK.

Note that: you will be reimbursed any expenses incur during this process before your arrival to UK, and I also want to let you know that this new policy is being implemented by my husband due to our past experience which is stated on the prototype copy of the contract documents sent to you.

Await your immediate response, so i can proceed from own side.

Cindy

Welcome here Alir11.

Thank you for posting this.
Yes, this is a scam! Best thing to do now is just stop writing to this scammer, as there is no family with an au pair position. This scammer wants to steal your money by making you pay for false documents.
I also edited out your name, email address and phone number, to prevent you getting more scam emails or spam.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

Hi alir11. I also agree this being a scam. You are being set-up by the individual to take a big fall.
I noticed global travels mentioned in the post. The name has been widely used in previous scams I'm afraid.
And the phone number beginning with 4470 is also a bad sign if you see them in an email in future.
If you wish to view an earlier post that better describes these phone numbers, see here viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13567

As said above, yes this is a scam. This scammer uses the email address:

[email protected]

and particularly targets Asian au pairs. In reality, citizens of very few non-European countries are permitted to go to the UK as an au pair, and non-Europeans also cannot go to the UK as a domestic worker (eg a nanny or housekeeper) unless they have already been working for that family for at least one year in another country.

You can read about the few countries whose citizens can become au pairs in the UK here:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... ityscheme/

If you also click on 'Working and conditions' on the left hand side of that webpage, you will be able to confirm that this is the correct visa for au pairs.

And you can read about the restrictions regarding entering the UK as a domestic worker here:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... igibility/
