I received a text message from this number - +447511031549.

The text content goes this way:

You have been successfully selected as an aupair/nanny job for interviews

I have an account at one of the aupair site in the web. But I'm not really sure if he got my number there.
Please help! Need an advise on this one.
I can sense that this might be a scam.

Many thanks.

Typical Nigerian scammers use "engr" meaning "Engineer". Why would an Engineer be offering a aupair/nanny job? Not credible.

Maybe you should ask them? Also find out if they would ever text a message to you rather that use postal mail or e-mail.

Au Pair Scammers register fake profiles at au pair websites, and frequently pay for full membership so they can access the au pairs' contact information, which sometimes includes a phone number.

You can see a scam from an Engineer Alex Smith here:

The phone number appears to be a UK phone number, but in the UK, an au pair and a nanny are two very different positions, and it is unlikely that a family would suggest both of these possibilities.

It may be helpful for you to know that non-European citizens of very few countries are permitted to go to the UK as an au pair. You can check whether citizens of your own country can become an au pair in the UK here:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... ityscheme/

If you also click on 'Working and conditions' on the left hand side of that webpage, you will be able to confirm that this is the correct visa for au pairs.

A nanny is a 'domestic worker', and it is impossible for a non-European to become a domestic worker in the UK unless she or he has already been working for that family for a minimum of one year in another country. You can confirm this here:
