I am unable to check the IP address on this email to prove that the scammer is based in Africa, but there are a number of pointers to show it is a scam.
- The email is sent from a different address to the one you have to reply to.
- The email is not personally addressed to the Au Pair he is writing to - he knows my name, it's on the Au Pair website, so why not use it?
- The use of an +44 70 redirect phone number. Someone living in the UK would have no need for this.
- The general poor grammar
Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
