The following email was received in response to a listing on an Au Pair website. This is a scam, no vacancy exists the scammer will try an scam you out of money by asking for fees or travel costs or accomodation costs.

Am a Building Contractor and We live in Maryland ,i need someone to take care of my kid and fill her mother's space, we have made adequate preparation for your arrival and if you want to attend college the closest is about 2miles away with a wide range of courses to suit part time study also benefits you stand to gain living with us like occasional extras, like nights out, take aways etc.You will have the use of a well furnished apartment plus access to my whole house, The au pair would have a room, which is huge, and has a double bed, with sitting area and TV/DVD/Video/Hifi. There is wireless broadband internet in the house. Working hours:07.30 to 09.00 about 60-90 minutes of housework a day to fit in with the au pair's schedule. 25-30 hours a week, So i will like you to get back to me if you are interested in being my aupair/ nanny for my kid.I hope to hear from you soon.Kindly signify your interest so that we can both work towards making your coming a reality in the shortest possible time.

I am getting definite proof of this one as it is not as blatent as some of the others that I receive, but the poor grammar gives it away - there are a number of African scammer clues there.

I am seeking an aupair and you are welcome to stay for as long as you wish.My wife died about six months ago when my daughter, Linda was just 2 years old.Linda as been my motivation since then and i really want the best for her and that is why i really would want someone really nice and who i can trust to take care of her.This is also the main reason i am looking for an aupair from outside of USA as the ones here have too many jobs thereby abandoning kids before the normal close of work time. I work as a building engineer.I am currently on a building contract on the outskirts of my state and so it takes me much time to take good care of my daughter.I got your profile from the aupair site,my subscription there expired yesterday and i had to remove my profile from there.

SCHEDULE
Your job is not a hard one,I do not believe in supervising or monitoring people to do their job.I
believe people should be giving a free role in whatever they do so as to do it well and best.So,I believe you should be able to perform well without being told.All the job entails is preparing Trisha for school in the morning,taking her to the point where the school bus picks her up to school.You will have a free period then whereby you can do any vocation or practice whatever is at
your disposal.Then you help monitor them after she is brought home by the school bus,just to make sure she's alright till my arrival from work.

SALARY
You will be entitled to a pay of 2500 dollars per month while you will also be given an entitlement of 500 dollars every week for petty expenses which you might need for yourself or during the course of your weekly activities.This salary is subject to negotiations for an upward review upon your arrival.

ROOM
A well furnished Master bed room will be made available for your personal use soon as you get here.there will be your personal laptop connected to the internet,tv and other necessary gadgets at your disposal.There will be enough privacy for you,i guess you'll really like it.

WHEN TO START
You are free to start as soon as possible,I will appreciate you coming immediately but any date of your choice will also be welcome.

OFF DAYS
You have every weekend as your off day as i will not be going to work during weekends except special
overtime.

Notice how the daughter's name has changed from 'Linda' in the previous email to 'Trisha' in this one. Also, I donn't know of many 2 year olds who go to school on the school bus! Not to mention the fact that he talks about being in the UK, but previously claimed to be in the USA and gives a US phone number. A definite scam

Very difficult to read, but basically just a load of rubbish trying to reassure you how legitimate they are. They aren't - if they were, they wouldb't be asking for payment via MoneyGram/WU!

Notice how they can only give a "99% assurance that you will get the documents from us" - I expect anyone applying will be in that unlucky 1%.
