The following email was received in response to a listing on an Au Pair website. This is a scam, no vacancy exists the scammer will try an scam you out of money by asking for fees or travel costs or accomodation costs.

We are looking for an AuPair or Nanny that is flexible with their time
We are a family with both British and American nationality and we are
currently in the United Kingdom. I work for a communications company
as a communication officer in UK. My wife on the other hand works as
an Air Hostess and is hardly ever home except once a week or sometimes
twice . For the past 12 months she has been nursing our new born baby
and she has currently been called back to work . She has just returned
back to full-time work and feel as though our kids would be best
served by having a nanny or an aupair.

We are looking for someone that we can treat as part of our
family/friend and not just as a nanny/aupair.Both my I and my wife are
easy to get along with, want to make you feel comfortable and at
home,the children like to act silly, but are easy going, and down to
earth.We would like our au pair/nanny to be a comfortable care giving
partner/companion/sister who is caring, flexible, and will have fun
with our family.


I would also love our au pair to go shopping with us, go out to eat
with us, go to the movies with us, participate in family events, go on
trips with us share holidays with us, etc.--become a part of our
family.We really want someone who will pro actively talk, sing, laugh,
interact, engage with the kids. We would really enjoy a light-hearted,
fun, and enthusiastic person who's ready for a neat British experience
with a young, active family.We have an extremely supporting family
here in the area, and the children's grandparents play very active
roles in their lives.We are looking forward to the opportunity of

GENERAL CONDITIONS
The Au pair will live with us for a period of one year after which he/she has an interest in renewing his/her stay with us after that period and in which the Au pair will have the opportunity to improve his or her spoken English by attending a language course.

AU PAIR DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS

The Au pair agrees to help with light daily household chores up to 30 -35 hours per weeks including looking after the children

The Au pair is expected to take care of the below named children

Miss Angel Filler 12months

The Au pair is to take them to school and bring them back.

The Aupair is expected to go on outings with the kids such as picnics etc


DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS OF HOST FAMILY TOWARD AUPAIR

The host family expects the aupair to help with daily house chores and childcare

The host family speaks English at home

The host family agrees to treat aupair as member of the family

The host family will provide aupair with free accommodation and food. The aupair will also have his or her own bedroom and bathroom

Au pair shall be paid 350 pounds per week and shall receive extra bonuses for a job well done sometimes

The aupair would not work for more that 30 to 35 hours per week. His or her working hours shall be arranged in such a way that the aupair can take part in his or her language course

The aupair would always have the weekends free so as to be able to prepare and perform his or her religion on Sundays

If the aupair stays for one year he/she shall be given 4 weeks of paid holiday. During this holiday aupair shall still be paid


The cost of language course shall be paid by host family

The host family undertakes to effect health and incident insurance for the aupair. Same applies should in case female is pregnant and birth host family will be responsible for insurance and heath

Should the aupair become ill? The host family will ensure that aupair stays in her room and properly taken care of until solution is found

The host family agrees to fetch the aupair and take him or her from the airport to home destination






FUTHER MORE THE HOST FAMILY AND AUPAIR AGREE ON THE FOLLOWING

Should the contracting party want to cancel this contract, a two-week notice must be given in writing. The contract can be canceled with immediate effect in case of grave misdemeanor of transgression on the part of the other party or if extreme circumstances call for cancellation.

A Total of amount of 3000 Dollars will be needed to enable us process the Visa,Ticket,Residential Permit and other paper works you will need to Travel down and your work permit as well. The family of the Fillers would be responsible for the flight tickets and residential permit which is 2,650 dollars from the payment therefore you will be paying the remaining which is 350 dollars for your placement fee and working permit. We have emailed the Fillers and they replied back immediately saying it is ok by them. We shall therefore be waiting for your response on the day you shall want to make your own payments as the Fillers are ready and have confirmed they will make payments as soon as we get a positive response from you.

Hello i am sorry for my late reply as i have been busy lately with preparations for my wedding.. Thanks for your email and i am really glad you contacted me and you are free to ask me any question you desire about the family of Mr Barry and Jeniffer Filler, The Filler's are very interesting people.The Family also goes on very nice outings and i must say that with my years of staying with them i never felt home for once because i feel at home with them. The kids also have lots of friends from school as they attend the best private school. They are also Christians and honest and devoted ones. They also travel a lot and i do travel with them, and they pay for my expenses, i have been to places like Paris, spain and some other countries in the last 6 years and i assure you that you will love the rooms cos you are entitled to your own privacy. They have both company drivers and personal drivers so i am sure there are a lot that would be at your disposal when you want to go out with the kids or do groceries. In regards to the processing of my papers Mr Anthony of American Au pair Travels helped me , well if i keep writing i am sure i would never stop, its a family i never want to depart with, but i need to start my own family also thats why. i would really love if you work for them as i am sure you would also be seeing me from time to time when i come visit because i am entitled to that according to the family and i can assure you of that i am the happiest nanny and can proudly say i worked with them, Hope to see you soon to add a new friend to my list of friends...Its nice they chose you

oh my god i am about to believe the Filler family because I am looking for an au pair jobs and they e-mailed me to work for them and asked me to pay $3000 for processing but i do not have that amount thanks god my instinct said so to search for anything about the agency and bwallaahhh i found this post...thank you so much.

This won't be the only scammer who responds to your advert, and it's impossible for us to keep track of all of them. So don't assume that because nothing shows up on Google, an email offering you a job is genuine.
This site shows the indications that offers of a job are false though.
If you're in any doubt, ask us first.

im glad and happy to find this site because i read some of the scamming strategy of the people involved and god they look and hear genuine...hope nobody's fall from their strategies. they give me false hope that i can be an au pair for their family now i lost all of my hope because of this and i am just soo happy that i didn't fall from their glitch...by the way until now they are e-mailing me about the payment.

I'm glad to hear that you haven't fallen for the scammer's lies. The best thing to do is just ignore their emails, they will give up writing to you soon.

how did you know that they are scammers? and how sure are you that they are scammers? they sent me an e-mail containing their pics.

I am 100% certain that they are scammers because the email that they sent came from Nigeria and not England as they claim.

There are also other identifying factors, which you can find here.

As for the pictures they are just grabbed from the Internet, where someone has posted their family photos.
