by FairyFloss Thu Jan 12, 2012 10:15 am
Hi! I'm currently looking for a Host Family to go as an Au Pair, I'm searching for Australia but for some reason I'm being contacted by lots of British families. Not so long ago I cyber-ran into the infamous Katie Mason, she didn't scam me because my inner-writer told me to not trust someone which a strange way of writing mails. I'm sorry, it's irrelevant maybe but it saved me, because of that I start searching about her and all and found what you have about her in here.
The thing is that yesterday three families contacted me, and again the grammar thing took the best of me.

The first one: David Wilson [email protected]

The third one: Andreu Baranowski [email protected]

Hello, I am Andrew Baranowski from the United kingdom... I am a member of MyDearAuPair.I am in need of a nanny for my two lovely kids(Anna and Sean) and i am willing to pay 800 pounds sterling per week... If you are interested, kindly send your resume to me.

Hope to hear from you soon..

I answered the same to three of them, which is the following text:
Hi, Mr. XXX! First of all, I'd like you to send me the link to your profile because I couldn't find it when I typed your name in there. I'd also like to see some photos of you and your family before sending mine -just for security.

Then again, I'd like some proof of you being a genuine family. It's not a bad sign, is just that someone tried to scam me not so long ago -also from the UK. Is because of that, that I'm being so exigent... So sorry if you're a genuine family.
If you're a scammer don't reply this mail -I'll understand it and won't take legal measures.

About family: Are you single parent? Where do you work at (and in case you have a partner or a wife, where do she/he works at, too.)? Would you be willing to meet some weekend before I go? I'm European, so I don't need any visa to go in there -the flight is just 10€ so it'd be pretty easy for me.

Thanks, and I'm sorry for all the troubles that I'm imposing on you, if you are a genuine family.
Warm Regards.

Only adding "where did you find my profile" in two of them, but the rest of the mail was the same. Nor Andre, nor David replied my mail so I'll take it as if they're scammers. But Bryan replied to the mail twice, saying:
HELLO THANKS FOR THIS THIS JOB OFFER IS GENUINE, I WILL SEND YOU MY
FAMILY PICTURES PLEASE DO CHECK ATTACH FILE AND I FOUND YOUR MAIL
ON(WWW.MYDEARAUPAIR.COM) DO GET BACK TO ME SOON FOR THE NEXT STEP....
BUT SORRY FOR THE LATE RESPONSE.

Things I think I need to add about this man are that I googled his mail and found a post on a web where he said he was in USA, and the fact that he never replies in the same conversation, so my inbox has like three conversations with him... Annoying.

I really hope you can help me.

PS. Sorry for my English and all, I need to improve it -I know.

All 3 of them are scams. The English in the emails is not that of a natural English speaker, but that of an African (in particular Bryan Pedro's).

As you will know yourself as an EU citizen, you do not need visas to come to the UK, but they will still try and scam you for the visa fees.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
