@ROCKET.COM

There are many companies that provide free email services and most people use them for legitimate purposes. However, because there is no charge and hence no need for a verifiable billing address, bank account or credit card, these accounts are fairly anonymous. That and easy access from ubiquitous internet cafes means such accounts are often abused by criminals who send variants of the "419" scam. Most of these emails are sent from Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, South Africa and various cities in Europe with West African residents as well as various places in Asia. By reporting the scam accounts to the webmail providers you can usually get them closed.

mY LAST CONTACT WITH HIM WAS BY CALL PHONE, WHERE HE PROMISE ME SEND ME A LOT OF DOCUMENTS, BUT HE ASK ME FOR MONEY FOR HIS FAMILY.
from: [email protected]
to: au pair:

Thanks for the response, it was nice to get to hear from you.

First of all I understand what you have explained about the false letters and host families that contact you with no intentions what so ever to hire you, my family has also had lots of false letters from aupairs asking for money for their flight tickets or to send money over to them since to pay hospital bills for their sick parents.
But that not withstanding I believe there are still a lot of decent and trust worthy foreign aupairs out there willing to render their services, just the way there are still good and honest families who have good intentions to genuinely hire the services of an aupair without negative thoughts of stealing from them. So first of all before we proceed any further in details just let me know whats your nationality and also that of your boyfriend. And if you can send over your brief CVs and some recent photos of the both of you so I can share with the rest of my family that will be really nice.

Hope to hear from you soon

Regards

Fredrick
for the family.

Hello, Am here in Ireland for the convention, but something urgent just came up. Maureens sister who lives in Sweden called me earlier this afternoon explaining her 13yr old son was involved in an accident and has been taken to the hospital and she needs some money immediately to foot some medicals charges because she just lost her husband and doesn't even have a job presently. I don't have sufficient funds with me because I invested a lot of funds for the job we hold here and also used part to settled for the legal expenses for the travel documents and permit, so I was wondering if you could help me send the money for attorney you were supposed to refund back to me , to her instead tomorrow morning because she really needs it and Maureen doesn't have money on her as well. Please my dear I really need you to handle this for me as soon as possible because its really a delicate situation.

Good morning,

Yesterday evening the attorney sent me some parts of the application form to fill out but I didnt find time to handle it yet, so I will do it this morning and have it scanned and sent back to him once I arrive the office.
And concerning the refund of the payments I made on your behalf I will let you know soon because I have to be in Ireland this evening for a 4day convention which I represent my firm.

I think the most important thing now is for the processing to kick off immediately and we all wait for a very positive outcome which am sure we will have.

Lets keep in touch and have a splendid day ahead

Fred.

I have currently received your pertinent documents and filled up Application form along with the due processing payments already made available on your behalf by Mr. Norrington earlier this afternoon.

You will not be required to send documents via post anymore Madam, as I can make do with the scanned copies you have made available via email attachment.
Formal processing will commence from tomorrow morning and later submitted over to the UK Home office and board for legal endorsements and certifications on all hard copy travel documents which will be couriered over to your designated address via DHL as selected.

I will keep you and your employer posted on the proceedings

Thank you once more for your time and patronage

Sincerely yours

Barr. Johnathan M Cheney

Top of the day Madam

As regards your query, first of all due to the time frame on the recent increase in security measures soon to be implemented, this chamber can only receive payments in cash as international bank transfers to our Barclays bank account we usually make available to foreign clients takes about 4 to 5workinsg days for funds to be cleared.
So Madam if you have a friend or relative here in London, he or she can proceed over to my chamber to make payments on your behalf or you can simply request your employer to handle this payment on your behalf then you can refund the amount to him instead via his bank.

Travel dates should be left blank for now, but visa and permit procurements should however not exceed 1month to legally obtain from the Home office, but to be certain please leave it blank.

Leave the parts about your employer blank and send back to me, I will forward those parts to him to fill out properly with his exact info and send back to me as soon as possible to avoid any mistakes or complications.

Part 10, the answer should be No. You have to appear smart so the board going through the application will sense you are capable and well enlightened enough to handle applications like this on your own, thats a plus and a tip for your application to be quickly endorsed.

I hope I was able to be of help to you, kindly let me know if you are still having issues on any part Madam.

I anticipate your reply soonest

Sincerely yours

Barr. Jonathan M Cheney

Am writing to you again in respect to the job offer with the Norringtons family here in the UK.
After getting formally acquainted with Mr & Mrs Norrington they have accepted & authorized me to legally assist in the procurement of all relevant hard copy travel papers directly from the UK Home office & immigration department here in London.

I am attaching herewith a Contract/Offer Letter on behalf of the family for you to go through. Also attached to this email is a copy of your Work Permit/Visa Application form directly obtained from the Home office. You are to read through it carefully, fill up with no mistakes and send back to my chambers so I can forward it back their office.

If you accept the terms and conditions stated on the Offer letter, you
would have to sign and date at the Bottom then send a scanned copy to
me as an e-mail attachment along with your properly filled up Application form
& three (3)recent passport photographs plus a scanned copy of your valid passport.

You will also be required to send along with the above listed requirements,
£525pounds sterling for the legal processing fee for your hard copy
D.P.R Approval certificates which should also include a valid UK residence permit
that legally entitles you to work and live anywhere here in the United Kingdom for a
maximum period of 1yr 6months without the need to pay taxes as a Domestic worker.
These hard copy letters and certificates will have to be legally processed over at the
Home office & Nationality Directorates(ND) department immediately.

And your host family as agreed upon will be solely responsible for the expenses for your
Work permit/visa & all round flight fare.

Also Madam, as part of policy you will have to choose your preferred courier delivery service option from the other attachment also on this email, the courier delivery charges have however already been paid for on your behalf by your employer so just make a choice which of the listed agencies you will prefer to courier your hard copy travel documents to your respective address in your home country once they are ready.

Note: I have been informed that there will be an increase in security measures over at the immigration & embassy from early next week for all foreign applicants legally seeking employment here and this will definitely affect this application if processing does not commence immediately, I have also informed your employer as well concerning this recent development.

In regards to this, you are required to submit your duely signed offer letter & properly filled up Application form along with your legal fees to this chamber in due course.

Payments are to be remitted to my chambers:

Milton Gate, 60 Chiswell Street
London, EC1Y 4AG. UK.

Let me know if you are not clear on any aspect that I have stated and ensure to get back to me with updates as soon as possible so I can proceed to make arrangements immediately along with the rest applications in my care.

Lastly, leave any part you are not quite clear with on the Application form issued to you blank and inform me about it upon submission so you don't make mistakes.

Sincerely yours

Attn Madam

This is to formally inform you that I have received your credentials and I will commence preparation on a copy of your Contract letter now and obtain some more relevant details from the Home office you will require to legally secure a job position with your present employer.

Thank you for your time, I will update you in due course

Yes my dear please keep me posted about everything from your end as I will also start to arrange things from my side as promised.
We could probably have a chat online on Sunday, I will try to install Skype on the PC at home.

Let's keep in touch

Fred.

Hello again,

It was really nice talking to you today, Maureen and I talked about your resumption date and I think it suites us just fine, but it all still depends on how long the legal processing might take for the hard copies to be made available.

Anyway that not withstanding these are the contact details for the attorney my friend referred me to that also assisted her aupair gain legal entry here couple of months back, he should legally arrange all necessary papers directly from the Home office, prepare and issue out a copy of the Contract letter and also offer legal guidelines as I have been informed.

Barrister Jonathan M Cheney
Chambers & Partners
Milton Gate, 60 Chiswell Street
London, EC1Y 4AG
United Kingdom.

Email: [email protected]

You are expected to send the following information's to him..

Your full names
Your age and marital status
Telephone number
Present residential address
Nationality

That should be all according to what her aupair did too.

Lets keep in touch

Best wishes

Fred.

That should probably be the network connection because today I received calls from outside the UK, and my mobile was only switched off not for too long when I had to attend a brief office conference.
So please try calling me again tomorrow probably from 5pm London time, there should be no reason not to reach me.

Lets keep in touch and hope to speak to you tomorrow.

Regards

Fred.

Good afternoon,
`
It was really nice to get to hear from you again, am glad to know you feel comfortable with the work conditions and hours.
Please feel free to call me later this evening or tomorrow if you prefer, it will be a pleasure to talk with you.

Also concerning your resumption date, we will like you to resume duties with us probably from the second week of Feb, but it all depends on how soon your hard copy documents can be arranged and obtained from the Home office and if you are comfortable with the time frame as well?

Lastly, I will try to get the full details from my friend at the office today and she should also give me the contact details of the attorney who also assisted her aupair gain legal entry to the UK couple of months back.
Once I have his chamber contact details I will let you know via email so you can contact him directly in other for him to prepare a copy of your Contract agreement letter and also give you legal guidelines and steps to follow as regards your application.

I really hope you see my family as your family from now, and we will in turn accept you as a new member and older sister to our son.

Lets keep in touch

Best wishes & love always from Maureen and Max.

Good afternoon Denise,

Thanks for the answers to my questions asked and sharing more photos with us, my wife and I really appreciate it.
I think you have a good personality and that's what been an aupair is all about. Also after reading through your letter I have no doubt in mind that you will make a perfect Aupair and teacher for our son.
So we will consider hiring you for your services on the conditions stated below.

Salary ranges from £1000 monthly and a weekly allowance for personal needs of £150pounds sterling.
You will be expected to work for approximately 30-35 hours per week, and
have the weekends off. But Of course there could be over time payments
and allowances if ever you get to work during the weekends and babysit.

And as regards arrangements, this will be our very first time to hire an aupair from outside the UK so my family will be willing to cater for your all round flight expenses, work permit/visa processing fees and Airport pick up. Plus we provide a conducive private live in accommodation in our home and feeding as well for the duration of time spent with us.
But am afraid you will have to be solely responsible for handling the legal service charges for the attorney that should arrange endorsements and legally process your entire hard copy travel documents directly from the UK Home office and immigration department since he works hand in hand with the commission.

So if you agree and you are comfortable with these terms do let me know on time, because like I mentioned we have never hired an aupair from outside the UK before, but a family friend of mine at the office who also had her Au pair come in from Ukraine couple of months back has promised to refer us to a reliable attorney who works directly with the UK Home office that assisted with hers as well.
He should prepare and legally issue out to you a copy of the Contract letter and other necessary legal guidelines for a permit procurement and any relevant detail we might need to make this
application a total success.

But first let me tell you a little bit more about my family and give you a brief insight on our neighbourhood....,

Maureen is a teacher in a local high school not too far from the house, she teaches physical education to a wide range of pupils.
I on the other hand work as a Real estate agent,am involved in buying, selling long & short term leasing of properties in and outside the shores of London and Hampshire.
We are down to earth people, easy going not arrogant,we respect our employees opinions very much.
Our son is very adorable and calm, we love him so much and so will you I hope.

I leave for work early in the morning 7.30am,about the same time my wife does, Max leaves at 8.30am comes in by 2.00pm.
He gets the school bus from across the road. So you would typically be free off Max from 8.30am each morning until school closes in the afternoon, then you cater to his needs until we arrive home.

In the morning the whole family takes breakfast together and Max loves to eat cereals or oat meals, its his favourite.
He also enjoys playing video games & a little bit of soccer outside the lawn when he wants to get messy but don't worry you should get used to it in no time if you choose to proceed with your application with my family.

About our neighbourhood...
We have a train and bus station not too far from the house, there is also a language school and park where folks go to spend quality time and relax or walk their dogs.
We don't have a beach close by, but you will require to drive not too far
to get to one, we sometimes go there during the weekends to spend
quality time together and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere because we believe family and happiness comes first before anything else.

Anyway kindly let me know what the outcome might be in due course so we are prepared and I will also love to speak to you over the phone if thats alright with you? just let me know.

My mobile again is (+44)70 457 08 437, please feel free to call anytime

Best wishes

Fredrick
For the family.

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to me with your contact details, I will just share your photos on the website with the rest of my family later today and get back to you shortly with updates.
And as regards your questions,

Our sons name is Max

And yes he is the kindergarten

We live here in Romsey,Hampshire just outside central London. But its a very good city with calm and decent people and places to visit just the same as Manchester or Central London so am sure you will love it.

Also we are seeking a live in aupair for the duration of time spent with us.

Of course it will be nice to have our son learn a foreign language, as a matter of fact that is the main reason we intend to hire a foreign aupair for Max so he can learn a totally different language and culture as well.

We don't have a problem if you don't have a drivers license, but of course we might need you to run some few errands with a spare vehicle when need be, so do you at least know how to drive?

That not withstanding I will also like to ask you some questions if you don't mind..

.What is your religion? Do you practice it?

.Please tell me a little about your childhood and your relationship with
your family?

.Do you have a criminal record?

.What type of things do you like to do in your free time (Hobbies & interests)?

.Will you be comfortable assisting with homework? Reviewing homework?

.Will you be comfortable supervising friends of our son during a play date while you
are in charge?

.Will you be comfortable handling some light housework around the house when need be?

.Can you drive? Can you cook?

.Do you have any allergies?

.Do you have any health related issues?

Kindly let me know the answers to the following questions as soon as possible before we proceed any further in details.

Regards

Fredrick.

Thank you lqb and Denise for posting details of this scam.

Just to comment on one piece of information posted above:

By reporting the scam accounts to the webmail providers you can usually get them closed.

Please don't report scammers' email accounts in this way! If a scammer's email account is closed, he will open a new one within a couple of minutes. This new email address will be unknown to us, and there will be no warnings that it is a scammer's email address. Therefore, with this new email address, he is more likely to be able to trick people into sending money.

It is best that he keeps his original email address, so that anyone who googles it will find the scam warning, and protect themselves from theft.

@rocketmail.com is a Yahoo address, and like all Yahoo addresses, these are also used by genuine people who require a webmail address. The use or non-use of a personal webmail address, therefore, is not a reliable guide to who is or isn't a scammer. A more reliable guide is firstly the text of the emails, and secondly - the most important point - the request for a money transfer, either by the host family or by someone or some department/office that the host family has introduced to you.

Never send money, for any reason, on instruction of a host family, or on instruction of anyone who they have put you in contact with.
