Yes this is a scam, the English used is indicative of an African, rather than a native educated English speaker.

Also, travel agencies do not handle Visas, they are applied for in person at the US Embassy in your country.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Every email sent to me, i get very cautious since my au pair friend already told me that scammers are multiplying online... I startewd to suspect when money is involve where in fact, an au pair is not going to venture money... Ive tried to check the phone numbers they posted and it does not match the address, the address of the agency is in new jersey, then the phone number is in seattle... So rediculious... I may come from a 3rd world country but my brain is not as dumb as these scammers... I am educated and i always make sure that i get the right information... Im a first timer to apply for au pair, the only mistake ive done is i was able to give my complete name, age, address and phone number and photos.... But i am so cautious in giving out my scanned documents, im afraid of identity theft.... Do you think this is dangerous because i was able to give out my name, adress and phone and pictures?

It is good to be cautious. If you are serious about being an au pair, then I would recommend that you do a search on Google for the regulations in the country that you want to work in (for example this page http://j1visa.state.gov/participants/ho ... &state=any gives the only agencies authorised to place au pairs in the USA).

You should not worry too much about giving out your details and photos to the scammers, as all they are after from you is your money. The only thing they may do is use your pictures in future as part of their scams.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
