Au pair/Nanny Service
We are a active British family living in Seattle, Washington but we
will be moving to UK soon and we need an Au pair/Nanny with little or
no Supervision that can take good care of our only child. Kindly go
through our profile on easyaupair for more details. The link to our
profile is http://www.easyaupairviewprofilefamily90709tk.tk

Thanks for providing us with more details about yourself and i am satisfied with your response and i definitely believe you will be a good companion for our kids. Our main priority is for you to be a friendly and kid loving person and with all i have read of you so far i believe you are.
I will like you to confirm the arrival date better and let me know of that in due time so that i can also plan our schedule ahead to pick you up at the airport when you arrived. Mind you try and choose a weekend arrival so that i can be well available to give you every support necessary.
Once again we hope to pay £12 hourly and for 40 hours weekly will be 480 pounds weekly plus bus ticket worth £95 weekly.
I have decided to offer you a very high salary to enable you pay rent and municipal charges and also have some saving while living in London because we are offering a live out aupair job as we don't have provision for a live-in accommodation. We can also help you search a shared accommodation through the same estate caretaker that secured our home in brent street and get back to you. So do confirm if a shared flat will be fine for you so that we can ask for its availability from the estate caretaker immediately.
As for your stay duration we hope to sign a 3 months contract with you for a start and extend the contract if we are satisfied with your services and if you are also willing to continue working with our family but it is okay if you wish to sign less duration agreement.
Waiting to read from you.

I quite understood your commitment to join our family and care for my kid but we don't have a provision for a live-in accommodation which seems not suitable for you.
I have actually included a rent and other municipal charges in your salary and that is why your salary is a bit high. In case you want us to scout for a shared accommodation for you we can do so through the same estate caretaker that secure our home in Gloucester and get back to you. So do confirm if a shared flat will be fine for you so that we can ask for its availability from the estate caretaker immediately.
Hence, you could get a very cheap apartment next door to us with the help of the same estate caretaker that secured our new home and with that you will be more like a live in aupair cause you will be with us all through the day and will only return to your home at night to sleep. Kindly let us know if this is okay by you and if you are still interested in the job.
Cheers
SANDRA MEGG

We communicated further with the estates caretaker and according to his explanation we understood the flat he discussed of is about few houses away from our home. We were also told that the £89 already includes water, electricity, internet and other minor bills.
Maybe you should contact the letting caretaker yourself for more reliable description of the flat, address, photo and other facilities if you are truly interested in it because according to him he said there are so much demand on the few accommodation available and it could be given out in no time.
The estate caretaker told me that you have to pay the rent deposit in order to secure the apartment and he also told me that there are other tenants interested in renting the room and it is a first come first serve basis and it is the first person to pay the rent become the bonafied tenant of the apartment. So, you have to send the rent deposit to the estate caretaker immediately so that he can secure the apartment for you before someone else pay for it. Inform me as soon as you have secured the apartment so that i can start preparing for your arrival.
Hence, you should contact the estate caretaker immediately for details on the apartment and how to book the apartment before it is let out to another tenant. You can contact the estate caretaker via email: [email protected] or phone number +447024084896 or +447024023009 and here is also a link to view the apartment and it's details online http://london.craigslist.co.uk/apa/2887665702.html
Inform me as soon as you have secured the apartment so that i can start making arrangement on our trip to the UK.
Waiting for your immediate reply.

Thank you for contacting UK Flat Share company, i am aware of your interest to occupy a room in one of our available estate located at 9,Brent Street, London, Greater London UK.
The apartment is a 1 room flat with all amenities and it is a nice, modern and spacious apartment with all mod cons. Shaker style’ kitchen includes fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. Open plan living and dining area fully furnished. Very convenient, within walking distance of offices, shops, pubs and local amenities. Easy access to motorways. Broadband services are available. I attached some pictures of the apartment to this email and the room is vacant and ready to move in at the moment.
This apartment is the only cheap apartment we have at the moment and the cheapest you can find in Gloucester road. There are other tenants interested in this same room because it is cheap and comfortable but i can secure the room for you only if you can pay the advance rent deposit immediately.
Kindly let me know if this condition is okay with you (i.e, if you are ready to pay the rent deposit right away) otherwise i will have to accept payment from other tenants and sign the lease agreement.
The rent is 356 pounds Monthly and you are required to pay 1 month rent deposit in advance with the refundable security deposit of 500 pounds. The security deposit is refundable at the end of your rent contract.Note that rooms are usually booked ahead and it is not guarantee to anyone unless an advance payment deposit is made on the room and to be guaranteed an apartment you are advise to cover the advance agreement now and be issued a rent contract and receipt immediately which stands as proof of your tenancy.
Photos are included in the attachment and more so could you be more specific about rent use period in your reply. That is, the length of stay.
Best Regards

I wrote that I haven't money for this, then I got this e mail:
You can pay part of the deposit now and pay the rest after you arrive in UK since we are sure that you already have a secured job here in UK.
However, you have to pay at least 50% of the whole deposit to the Landlord's bank account immediately so that we can secure the apartment for you and you can pay more than 50% if you wish but must not be less than 50% of the whole deposit.
:yikes:
Please tell me should I pay for this?

Hi Ola.
Your suspicions are correct. Do not pay anything to these people!

The email address [email protected] from the advert is a free email domain that anyone can register with. Scammers regularly use "consultant.com"
The telephone numbers are redirect numbers which can be registered anonymously. They look like UK mobiles but they start with +4470... or 070... Again, regularly used by scammers.

Hello Ola,

All au pair websites where host family profiles can be uploaded will also have fake profiles from scammers, so it is safest to instead seek an au pair position through an agency which is a member of the International Au Pair Association (IAPA) or, for UK positions, the British Au Pairs Agencies Association (BAPAA) . You can find a list of IAPA member agencies in your country, or in the country you hope to travel to, here:

http://www.iapa.org/members/member-list/

And a list of BAPAA member agencies here:

http://www.bapaa.org.uk/directory.asp?page=20

But if you prefer to look for a host family online:

- As soon as you start corresponding with a potential host family, google for their country's Embassy website in your own country, and find out how to become an au pair in that country, and follow those instructions only.

- Google the names and phone numbers and email addresses of the family, to see if you can verify them online - some people will have no 'internet presence', but check anyway.

- Google a few sentences from the email in which the host describes their family, to see whether they are original words, or typical sentences from scam mails.

- Never ever send money to a host family, nor to anybody they have put you in contact with.

- Never send money to yourself, or to a friend or relative, on the instruction of a host family or anyone connected to them. Scammers can still steal this money if it is sent by Western Union or MoneyGram, and if they have the payment details.

- Never open a new bank account on the instruction of a host family or anyone connected to them. This would also be a trick to steal your money.

- Never send a deposit for an apartment to live in while you are an au pair. This is another scammer's trick.

And if you are ever unsure about any host family who you are in contact with, we are always happy to help determine whether or not they are genuine, or a scam.
