I have been emailed by this family living in the USA named, Tiven Matthews email address [email protected]. Recently they have put me in contact with this agency to apply for my visa and work permitt the agency are now asking me to send $480 via Western Union to pay for the Visa and the family have said that they have paid $130 for their part of the Visa. I am unsure about this agency, this is their details ' America Travel Tours Mrs Julie Payne (Agent)486 Clarkson Ave Brooklyn, 11203 New York (718) 717 7803' Does anybody know if this is scam? How can I find out? The agent said that their website is currently under construction because they are expanding that is why I couldn't find anything on them. Help!?

It's a scam. No legitimate business would use Western Union as a means of payment.

Additionally, there are only a limited number of agencies authorised to introduce au pairs in the US, details of which can be found here http://j1visa.state.gov/participants/how-to-apply/

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
