Hi Manticora. I would suggest it's looking suspect. I will not point out the mistakes. The name Catherine Russell has been used in a previous scam from several years ago. It may or may not be the same one?
What is the email header telling you? If the email header looks wrong, the whole message is sure to be bogus I'm afraid. However having said that, I hope I'm wrong.

It is 100% a scam! Could you please post the email address that this scammer is using? It will help alerting other au pairs.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

Welcome to Scamwarners, Manticora!
As David Jansen has posted, this is 100% a scam!
The next step in this scam is that the fake Barrister, MRS. CHARITY LEDYARD, will need fees for documents or for processing your application. The legislator.com email means nothing. It's a free email address, just like gmail, hotmail, Yahoo etc.
Please find and post the headers from one of the messages that you were sent from [email protected] and also the headers from the message you received from [email protected] We can trace them and probably see where the emails were actually sent from. Instructions for finding the headers are in my sig. below.

Sorry but I don't know how to get the headers if someone can explain me?
Look the telephone number, it's a scam 100 per cent and the number appears in another post of scamwarners.com I saw it...
Hi ---------,

Hope you are doing fine and having a great weekend and Easter Celebration?
Glad hearing from you and basically, we are fine here and went out together on outing and picnic yesterday.

Actually, due to our work condition i do not have a skype id thus, i do not skype.
but you can add me in facebook so that we can still chat when ever i am free, and i promise you our
conversation would be fruitful.
This is the link to my profile.. or search for the name "Kenn Russell"

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001537843466

You can also reach me with this number +447024032375, but the call should
be done off working ours since our phones are switched off during work and left on voice calls only.
Also my husband can also pick your calls when ever i am not around.

You can ask me any question that you want and anytime at all, i will always make out time to answer you and clarify you.

Send the signed copy of the contract letter to the barrister as soon as possible so that it would be documented.
I also want to inform you that your Mum can accompany you while coming to our home in London any date or period that is
convenient for you so that she can spend some time with you before leaving. But if she is busy and cannot come, you do not have
to be bothered as we are loving family and have taken you already as part of us.

Have a nice Easter holiday and hope to hear from you soon.

Mrs. Russell.

Hi Manticora!

What email company is your address, that you received the scammers messages at? This link has instructions for finding the headers. Chose the info that pertains to your address: example- Yahoo , gmail etc.
http://www.abika.com/Reports/Samples/em ... rguide.htm

Then copy and paste the headers onto this thread. Unless the scammer is using a trick to hide his IP address we will be able to see from which city and country the email was sent.

by jolly_roger Mon Apr 09, 2012 4:25 am
Well done on the info you have provided so far. Yes that is correct, the above mentioned phone number of 447024032375 has been used in many previous scam attempts. All the scammer does is use a different name.
