This is not a genuine au pair opportunity. There is no job, just a scammer after your money.

I’m glad to know that you are interested, I want to assure you that you will have a great time living with us. We want you to see yourself as not just our employee but also as a member of our little family and Lisa as your little sister. We would appreciate it if you would. Before we go on any further, I would like to tell you a bit about us and our little princess and I hope you will do the same as well
First, We live in Baltimore, MD, USA. I am Elizabeth Mcgallen, a Realtor. My husband is Steve Mcgallen, a Civil Engineer while our only daughter is Lisa. We need an Au pair to help us with the care of our child and to teach her of a new culture.

Lisa our 5 year old daughter is a very busy girl who loves all things. She loves to play Polly Pockets, Barbies, Littlest Pet Shop, etc and loves to dance, create art and learn about science, history and the world. She is constantly asking to learn more and would benefit greatly by having a "big sister/big brother" to play with and talk to. Her hobbies are cycling, inclines skating, jogging, badminton, soccer, dancing, swimming etc .

We are hoping to host an Au pair/Nanny to help with the kid, but also to provide a great cultural exchange. We can't wait to show you around Baltimore area and to learn about where you come from as well.

My Family and I are looking for the fun yet responsible person who can help us with the everyday needs and challenges of raising our little girl. We are a spontaneous family always ready to go out and have some fun. Our family loves to stay active. We enjoy traveling, sporting events and picnics in the park.

You will be fully responsible for our girl's daily routine which includes getting her dressed, making breakfast, lunch and dinner, minding her during the day and taking her to playground, play dates or other places of interest, as well as cleaning her bedroom and helping with general household duties.

Your working hour per day will be within 5-6 hours which will be approximately 25-30 hours per week .

Your working period will be Monday to Friday while Saturday and Sunday will always be your off day from work.

Your monthly salary will be $1500 and $120 weekly pocket allowance or a total of $500 weekly depending on your choice of payment

You will be provided with a comfortable accommodation with 24 hours free internet access.

You will also be provided with a private car for your personal use with our daughter provided you have a valid driver’s license. If not then, you will have to take the bus every morning until you get one.
Please confirm to let us know that you are interested in this job and tell us all about yourself and your experiences. Please send me your number so we can call you sometime.

Further email from the scammers

Hello,
It was really nice to read such wonderful things about you, in fact we would be thrilled to have you as the newest member of the smith’s little family. We feel we have made the right choice, let’s hope to make your stay with us the best time you can have. Our last au pair was just wonderful; she is south African by origin, and she had the most terrible accent and yet she had a miraculous touch on Lisa. Since she left, it has been hard to watch our little daughter get over her. It’s too bad she had to return to complete her education, hopefully everything will work out just as well with you and you will be able to fill the void she left in our heart. Before we go any further, I want you to understand your job routine, just so we are clear and we wouldn’t have any misunderstanding when you get here
From Monday to Friday

You will start by 8:00 am in the morning, get breakfast ready And get Lisa dressed and packed for pre-school. If we are not home you are free to drive her to school with one of the cars or you can get a taxi.
While she is at school you will take care of her laundry, light Housekeeping, grocery shopping, etc. within which time, you can engage yourself in an extra school course if you like but just make sure you are back before she is out of school.

We have a meal plan so what she'll eat will already be Sorted out and there will always be cooked food available but you need to heat it up for them. You’ll get her back from school by 12:00pm and from then on it’s up to you on how to keep them occupied, There are playgrounds where she can also be with other kids.

One of us should be home by at 6:00pm and that’s when you close for the day so we expect the her to be home and cleaned up by then. If we ever need you to stay over time we will work out a scheme on how to pay extra for that and you get the weekends off as well.

You will have a room in the house for free, it comes with its own bathroom, a TV and a laptop. We have wireless connection in the house so you can communicate with people back home anytime you want. You are always welcome to join us for meals if you choose. You should always
Think of yourself as family because that’s the way we see you

Best Wishes,
The Smiths
