I received this email today which I found very suspicious and when I Googled the email it has been linked with several other scammers!

We enjoy sports (swimming, soccer, baseball, basketball), music (playing piano) and reading (going to the library is a favorite activity).

Could you also post the email address which the fake Phillip and Shaley Wilson are using - this would be helpful for other au pairs who google the email addresses of prospective host families; they will then be led to your warning, and also realise that it is a scam.

The email address given by this scammer, however, is not the email address of the genuine Au Pair Foundation; it is a free webmail address which was set up by the same scammer who is pretending to be Phillip and Shaley Wilson.

The real Au Pair Foundation's email addresses end with @aupairfoundation.org - and with no words or abbreviations after that.

These are some of the stolen photographs sent by this scammer, who pretends that they are photos of their own family.

This email from the fake agency was not sent from the USA or UK; it was sent from Nigeria, as proven by the IP address: 197.255.169.222 - Lagos, Nigeria.
