Thank you for posting, I'm glad you came here to check out your suspicions. This is definitely a scam and I'm sure the documents you have been sent are faked.
There are various things identifying it as a scam, if you have not already please take a look at this thread and see how similar it is to your situation:

First of all they are referring you to a fake company, "Croydon Immigration" using a free email address (yahoo.com), this email address is where the request to pay fees will probably come from. They also offer an unbelievably high rate of pay for an au pair job. Also many elements of the writing appear to come from a west African english speaker, with some characteristics we often see from scam writers purporting to come from the UK.

Would you mind posting the email address that "Mr Ferguson" is writing from, as well as the email headers? This may help other possible victims who are getting the same scam
Here's how you can find the headers:

I really appreciate your response on this. I have googled his address and it appears to be a fan mail address for Robert Pattinson and when I asked him,he said, that is where he lives.

His address as mentioned in the sponsorship letter is:

Haymarket House
5th Floor
28-29 Haymarket
London SW1Y 4SP

His email address is: [email protected]

I will provide the header in a few minutes...let me just check it now. Thanks a lot for the information.

After reading the topics under Au Pair Scams, i realize now that these scammers asks the "Nanny's" to give a brief decription of themselves, their family background etc as well as requesting to send family pictures. They say that it is all part of the interview process that they conduct online. They steal the information and pictures and use them for their potential victims. This is really an identity theft.

Thanks a lot bluenvy for the update - this makes it crystal clear that it's a scam. If you google his email address you'll find a few more examples where he's spammed his "job advert" around.

have a nice weekend!
