There is a rule of thumb. If someone asks you to pay money using Western Union or Money Gram, it's a scam.
Visa and work permit can not be done via emails, you need to be present physically in the US Embassy in your country.

I am not convinced by a family who write semi literate English as the profile shows. While there is not quite enough English to say more, I doubt if a professional family would have such language deficencies. Having an aupair is expensive matter. I go so far as to say FAKE PROFILE.

It may be easier for you to weed out the fakes by looking at the headers of the emails they send. If the header shows that the mail came from Africa, but the family claims to be in Europe, you know it's a scam. Other signs of scam are numbers beginning +44-70x, supposedly in England but actually elsewhere, and as Norman mentioned, WU/MG and getting a visa from other than an embassy or consulate. Travel agents don't issue visas except in the imagination of scammers.

Do not pass on your personal email address to any one. Use sites security. It is how they get paid. Scammers pretend they have been sent by an agency and you can always refer back.Never use information given by a third party, Ask an embassy and the site itself. Trust nothing especially if it involves paying money upfront via Western Union or Moneygram or any one else. I say you will never be a victim if you never part with money due to internet contacts
