Subject: To Our New Found Family Member...

Dearest Au pair,

How are you doing today out there? We are so happy for getting back to us and we feel humbled and happy that you like our family and as well very willing to work with us.

Reasons for looking for an au pair is because we need help looking after our children. We are looking for an au pair to be a big sister or brother to our children and to become another member of our lovely and happy family. We promise you as your host family that you will stay comfortably with us because we are God fearing and by the special grace of God, we are a Christian family. Thanks for the lovely picture, i think my wife likes you.

We are Norwegian fun loving family living in Manchester City, UK, My name is Jeffery Albert and I am 35 years old, I work as a Consultant Doctor and My spouse Rebecca Albert is 30 years old and she works as a Nurse. We would enjoy it if you are a person who enjoys doing lots of stuff with the kids, coloring in, going cycling, playing outside, reading stories, etc. Our prime objective is to get our children to be happy, independent little beings and this is where we want you to help us. This would also naturally mean that sometimes you would have to help with household chores, because we also enjoy spending time with the kids.

In Manchester we are living in four bedroom house and we have 3 children ( daughters ), they are 4, 3 and 1.5 years old
Jillian, Faith and Ann, the kids like to go to the parks once a week and we would like you to take them.
We will require you to take care of the kids for about 30hrs a week. You will have weekends free and we will pay you £350 per week, with pocket money which we will give to you every Friday.

Our residence is very open and near the city and there are other au pairs close by. There is also a good language school and we will encourage you to go for lessons there to learn English or any Language if you wish to. But in your case I think you would need to learn English. In the area there is one pub full of young people, a shop/post office and a hall where people get together to have parties. There is also a bus stop outside our house with direct access into the city center.

I know you might find other families that might pay a bit more than I do, but I honestly believe you will not find another family who will look after you as well as we do and make you feel at home. We can even secure you a good job over here in United Kingdom after your stay with us, if your services to us is fair enough.

You will eat and dine with us freely, you will have your own bedroom and your own bathroom either live in or live out fully furnished, plus desk phone and computer system with internet.

We do not have any pets and we do not smoke as long as drinking is concern. My children attend kindergarten and their school is just some kilometers away from home, My little angels goes to school from 10am to 4pm which means they stays 6 hours in school so all you need to do is to take them to school when it is 10am then come back and take care of your own needs and when it is 4pm you will be required to go and pick them up also with regards to your English course it last for just 2 hours.

Saturdays and Sundays will be your free days and your salary will be 350GBP per week i don't know if this will be OK for you but that is what we can offer for now and we don't know how it goes because this is our first experience therefore your pocket money will be giving to you every Friday for your upkeep, we are loving, nice and reputable family so with time we might decide to add a little thing to you depending how caring you are to our children because we cherish them so much.

We need an au pair to start with us soon and stay until at least 3 months or more. We will need you to drive our second car if you can and we shall arrange some driving lessons for you when you arrive. You may use this car for taking the kids to school and for your private use. There would also be medical insurance vacation and other benefits which would be included in the contract

My Barrister works with the UK Home Office and that is good for us as she informed me that you can get the Visa in one month so you can start a month from now. She said she would get back to me with detailed information to go about employing an au pair including the necessary steps to take to acquire legal au pair work and residence documents for the United Kingdom.

Once I get the necessary information, I'll send it to you so that you do not make any mistakes hence wait for my travel guidance. My direct mobile is +44 703 182 7510 should you wish to talk to me. Kindly send us your resume CV for our perusal okay?

Above attached are some lovely pictures of our family and i hope it would glue you good. My wife sends her regards and please accept warm hugs and kisses from the kids.

Write us soon.

Cheers and God bless

The barrister - Barr Dannielle Cohen, email address [email protected] - is also fake, and is part of the scam.

The scammer also gives a fake email address for the Home Office UK Border Agency: [email protected] - this is really a free webmail address which also belongs to the scammer. The telephone number, which the scammer pretends is the telephone number of the UK Border Agency - +44 2071 17 4321 - is used in many scams. You can see this if you google:

The scammer sent this email from the fake UK Home Office email address using a proxy server, in the hope of disguising that it was really sent from Nigeria. Proxy servers replace the sender's IP address with an inaccurate IP address.

Please note that the Verification/Confirmation of Mandatory Basic Insurance Funds is an invention of the scammer. If a transfer of money is made by Western Union or Money Gram, and the details are sent to the scammer, the scammer will collect this money himself. He is able to do this, regardless of the name or country which the transfer is made to. Never send money on the instruction of a host family, or on the instruction of anyone who a host family has put you in contact with.

Please also note that the genuine UK Home Office does not use free webmail addresses ending with @london.com. The genuine UK Home Office email addresses end with @homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and genuine UK Border Agency email addresses end with @ukba.gsi.gov.uk - and neither of these have any words or abbreviations after this.

Attached UK Home Office Requirements (Read Carefully).pdf reads:

The UK Home Office is responsible for securing the UK borders and controlling migration in the United
Kingdom. We manage boarder control for the UK, enforcing immigration and customs regulations. We
also consider applications for permission to enter or stay in the UK, citizenship and asylum.

The UK Home Office will exercise its full powers to perform its responsibility to regulate entry into the
UK, by:

• Ensuring that the sponsor is financially capable to support the applicant entering the UK for
Business or Pleasure throughout the duration of the validity of the Entry Visa.

• Ensuring that the applicant, has the minimum stipulated financial requirement to earn the needed
points for Entry/Work Approval, going by the new point-based system for immigration in
2012

• Ensuring that the applicant is eligible to Live, Work and carryout business activities in the UK
Legally.

The new points-based system (PBS) is the biggest shake up of the immigration system for 45
years.

Under the new system, migrants will need to pass a points-based assessment before they receive National Insurance Number, Work Scheme Card and supporting paperwork for the UK. It will help UK businesses recruit the skills it needs from abroad and assure the British public that only the skilled migrants will need to come to the UK. The role of employees/migrants with qualifying financial base is crucial to its success.

We would like to acknowledge receipt of your application for National Insurance Number and Work Scheme Card. Jeffery Albert’s Family is your Host in the UK and shall fulfill necessary hosting requirement to support your application in due course.

National Insurance Number and Work Scheme Card would be issued to you before you can work after appropriate registration with the Social Service Bureau to fulfill 2012 requirements for applicants from EU Countries coming to work in the United Kingdom as Au pair

Apart from sponsorship from UK Based Employers, workers in Social Service Category (i.e Au pair, Babysitter, Nanny, Chef, Teacher) coming to live and work in the UK for at least 1 year are mandated to have a minimum of £650GBP, which is the stipulated financial requirement/basic applicant insurance allowance that must be in possession of the applicant/employee into the UK. You must be able to demonstrate that you have funds to Support yourself. This is to certify that you can be responsible for your maintenance as mandated by UK Insurance policies to protect and secure au pairs financially.

The mandatory insurance allowance f or is £650GBP. National Insurance process is for the security and well being of the applicant and is mandatory.

Note: This is not a payment but a deposit to ensure that you can cater for your needs and support yourself once you arrive here before you receive your first salary from your Employer

The UK Home Office would ensure via this means that only eligible applicants who are financially capable are allowed entry into the UK and must be completed to fulfill availability of funds in cases of Emergency and for full financial security of the applicant/worker before receipt of first month salary and benefits from Employers.

This process is solely for proof that you have the stipulated financial requirement as per an applicant seeking to enter the United Kingdom despite sponsorship from your Employer for your financial security and would take 24hrs for confirmation hence follow the detailed instructions for confirmation of immigrant travel allowance below.

PROCEDURE: VERIFICATION/CONFIRMATION OF MANDATORY BASIC INSURANCE FUNDS

The follow ing process has been adopted follow ing the new -points based system to earn the needed points for issuance of National Insurance Number, Work Scheme Card and supporting documents. Bank statements were hitherto accepted, however due to falsification of bank statements which does not compulsorily certify/surety that the applicant would enter the Country with the mandatory insurance allowance/financial requirement, we no longer accept bank statements as final travel guarantee.

Important (As per Immigration policies, this process must be completed by anyone you wish to stand in as your next of kin; i.e. any member of your immediate family must be aware of your intended travel to the UK. This can be your Father, Mother, Brother, Sister or close relative)

To meet the above requirement any of your family member or close relative is to make a deposit of the stipulated financial requirement of £650GBP to your name and address in the UK via any Money Gram agent or Western Union as proof that you have secured funds to support yourself when you arrive here till you receive your first salary from your Employer:

Sender can be any of the suggested individuals above that you wish to be aware of your travel to the UK.

Receiver: Must be you the primary immigrant

Payout Location: Your residential address in the United Kingdom i.e. ( Jeffery Albert’s Family, 15 Black friars Street Manchester, Salford, England United Kingdom). You can also secure your funds at any alternative residential address here if you have any however if this is your first time to enter the Country on Au pair job, it is appropriate you enter the residential address of your Host Family or Employer.

Payout Destination Country: United Kingdom

Note: You must ensure that the sender is any of the above as instructed and the receiver is you for the security of your funds.

Any of your Family members or relatives should Visit the nearest Money Gram Post Office, Money Gram agency or Money Gram Shop close to you and make the deposit of £650GBP to your name and address in the United Kingdom which is your insurance allowance following the transfer instructions above carefully for our verification and confirmation.

Application Checklist: You are to send the following application requirements:

• Confirm Courier Address for Shipment of Hard Copies of your National Insurance Documents, Work Scheme Card and supporting documents.

• Scan the receipt of the deposit of your financial requirement including the Money Transfer Verification Number to enable our office verify and confirm your deposit.

• Scan Completed Application Form. (Leave Travel Date Section blank)

Note: Ensure that the receiver is you so that only you can withdraw the deposit after the verification of deposit have been carried out. This is not a payment but a deposit for verification, which is why it is in your name as the receiver and to also fulfill that you have funds to support yourself, as is the mandatory process for your financial security when you arrive here till you receive your first salary from your Employer.

Confirmation of Basic Insurance Allowance satisfies the requirement for release of Relocation Package (ERP). Relocation Package protects the right of immigrants and ensures full compliance to terms and conditions of contract engagement by UK Employers.

The instructions above would earn you the needed points under the point-based system for the release of your National Insurance Number, Work Scheme Card and supporting documents to legalize your work status here.

Applicants without passport should submit completed application form with formal letter of application including Full Names, Date of Birth and Country of Origin

Please confirm the name of the nearest airport that is convenient for you to enable us effect booking as has been instructed us by your employer.
