Dear xxxx, Hope you are well and in the best of health? Thank you for your prompt and positive response.

It was nice to get to hear from you, I also think you have good personality so i have considered hiring you for your services.

However as regards your flight expenses that will be handled by me and also some other relevant documents you might be needing to proceed over legally, I will arrange for an immigration attorney that will write a contract agreement letter that we both we have to sign and date on the contract letter for future purpose. Let me know if you are okay with it.

We reside in 88 went worth street here and you will have your own private accommodation in my home.

But first let me tell you a little bit more about me and Alex,

i am down to earth people not arrogant, i respect people’s opinion very much, my son Alex is most adorable things on the face of the earth i love him so much and so will you I hope. i also believe that am an easy going woman.

I leave for work early in the morning 7.30am, my son attend school he leave at 8.30am come back by 1.00pm.

I go hiking sometimes with him, also to the beach together me and Alex. We are a religious family, so we also attend services every Wednesdays & Sundays. If I may ask do you practice your religion as well?

See you soon!!!

Dear xxxx, here is my mobile number +447035934350. I meant that i have to get a lawyer to prepare a contract letter between us through an agency so that our contract will be legal. i will take care of the expenses and your flight ticket too because i believe its my duty as the host family to take care of all your flight to and fro. so tomorrow i will be back in the agency to get a letter then i can forward t to you to sign. so meanwhile we have to wait until the contract is sealed by the agency. i hope you understand? i am not a British so i would love to do anything here according to the legal process. thanks for your understanding. Greeting to your family. Send me your mobile number also so that i can call you tomorrow when i am home.

Dear xxxx, How are you today? I will get back to you immediately i am home form the agency. Have a great day

Dear xxxx,How are you doing? Today was very hectic for me although i succeeded. I was able to get an attorney to prepare the letter but time would not let me wait till its done so i had to go home because of Alex. So tomorrow the lawyer said i should meet him in his chambers in the morning so that i will sign the necessary files which is required of me. I am sorry about it.In the morning after taking Alex to school i will move from there to his chambers to sign and then forward it to you to sign too. Greetings to your family and take care.I will send it to you immediately i get it.

Dear xxxx,I am so sorry for my late response. Read carefully, sign and send it directly to the lawyer with this email [email protected].

Dear Beloved xxxx,Sorry for writing you this late. All we have to do now is to wait for the lawyer to conclude his arrangements with the agency. Meanwhile i will stop over at the lawyer's office tomorrow to know how everything is going.Take care of your self and hope to see you very soon.

Definitely a scam.

The writing tells me that the person who contacted you is African, not American.

The phone number starting with 4470 confirms that the scammer is not in UK. Numbers starting with 4470 are free redirect phone numbers. Calls to those phones are forwarded to other phones, virtually anywhere in the world. In this case, calls are undoubtedly being forwarded to his cellphone in Africa.

The lawyer's address is another red flag. Email addresses at lawyer.com are free email addresses issued by mail.com. Anyone can sign up for them. Again, one does not have to be a lawyer to get one. They are frequently used by scammers pretending to be lawyers.

Could you post the email address this scammer used?
