These scam mails were not sent from the UK; they were sent from Nigeria, as proven by their IP addresses.
This scammer uses the same telephone number in many of his scams, pretending to be different host families. You can see this by copy and pasting the following into a Google search:
This telephone number is not a normal UK telephone number; like all phone numbers which begin +4470, it is a redirect number, redirecting all calls to a mobile phone almost anywhere in the world. In this case, it redirects all calls to the scammer's mobile phone in Nigeria.
The photographs sent by this scammer are 'stock photographs' available for purchase for use as illustrations and in advertisements. You can see an example of this here:

Both the lawyer and the British Immigration Office are also fake, and are part of the scam. The same scammer sends all the emails from the fake Dr Mark Clinton, the fake lawyer, and the fake British Immigration Office.
Because the same scammer is pretending be both Dr Mark Clinton and the Immigration office, he certainly has not paid himself anything towards the cost of a visa! He invents this following story to encourage au pairs to send money.
All money sent will be stolen by the scammer, and no genuine documents will ever be received.
If an au pair cannot afford to send £350, the scammer is willing to steal £150 instead.
