In answer to your question, vijolica; It is not an agency as such. The site listed above has only been registered for a short time and I believe that it was created in order to generate advertising or to be re-sold.
I do not believe that it was set up as a scam site but I feel that you would be better off spending your time somewhere else more dedicated to the needs of au-pairs and their host families.

What kind of conditions and fees are they asking you to pay?

You shouldn't be paying fees to get a job, and you may not even be eligible to work in the country they say they are located in. Please post more information including the email you received, and the email address it was sent from.

no no, he didn't ask me anything to pay.
his first mail was:

Hi (my name)!

We found your profile on Aupair.com and you seem perfect for a lovely family we know who are looking for an aupair.

I have a small au pair agency in the UK (www.awesomeaupairs.com)

We have a family who live near a lovely town in Surrey, 40 minutes from London.

The nearest towns are Leatherhead/Dorking and they seem like a really nice family. They have 3 children, aged 18 months (girl), 12 (boy) and 9 (girl).

They have a pet dog (spaniel) and live in a house with an indoor swimming pool and gym.

They currently have an au pair who has been with them for 2 years (she is Slovakian).

They would like someone to start on 28 November and who can ideally stay for 18-24 months. There will be some housework to do as well and the salary should be about £110 per week and some times a bit more if extra child care is needed. You will also have a car, TV in Room, Wireless broadband, Access to PC. There is also a good little english language school nearby whcih our au pair Zsani from Hungary goes to.

We only find au pairs for people in our area so we can introduce to our little network of au pairs.

Please let me know if you would like more information and to speak with one of our other Au Pairs.

I really hop to hear from you

Best regards,

John

The agency seems to be real, but my main concern is, why is this john recruiting au pairs from other au pair sites? And he is talking about a salary and not about pocket money. Furthermore it seems that this John doesn't know all about the rules and regulations of au pair programmes. As an agency he should know. If you want to go through with this agency, be very cautious.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.
