Scams offering fake Au Pair positions

ts good to hear from you. I like your profile and i guess we can still continue and work towards it.
I am a single working mother with a 4 year old girl,i am licensed nurse and i moved down here to Laurel Maryland to live, i love it here and you can check our new community on http://www.cityoflaurel.org to get familiar with where you are coming to live with us . I work 2 jobs and its high time we need a nanny/aupair for 6months - 1 year who will be our friend,family companion and honest person who can take care of my little girl and also take care of our home while i am away busy with my jobs.We do not have a pet and our apartment is spacious enough contain 3 of us.My daughter goes for swimming classes 3 times a week and this is important to us too. I would like to hear back form you so we can go further. Thanks



I have had about 20 emails between us and the spelling in later emails gets really bad

The English in that email alone is enough to tell me it is a scam. The author is not American.

To become an au pair in the US, you must be sponsored by one of the licensed agencies listed here:
http://j1visa.state.gov/participants/how-to-apply/sponsor-search/?program=Au%20Pair&state=any

If you are not dealing directly with one of these agencies to make arrangements, it is a scam.
If a family claims to be dealing with one of these agencies, or tells you to contact one, you must be able to reach them at the contact information from the above link and verify they are sponsoring you. If you cannot do this, you are dealing with a scammer.
