Subject: your profile was shortlisted on easyaupair.com

My name is Mr. Mark Smith and we live at Myddleton Street
London, UK. I have a young son Frank and we live together happily.
I work as a chartered accountant and the nature of my job do not give
me the opportunity to spend as much time as I want with my son and
take care of him adequately so I decided to seek for help by employing the
services of an au pair.

I saw your profile and I am interested in hiring your services to take care of my
only son and I resolved to contact you.

I sincerely hope that your primary motivation will be to take care of
my son Frank to the best of your ability and with every diligence. I
know it might seem as if I ask for too much but my child means
everything to me so I really need the best hands, someone that will be
trust worthy and responsible enough to stand in for me when I am not
available. I am really interested in your services and I hope you possess the
right attitude and devotion to perform the duty that is expected of
you.

Please endeavor to send me your resume, I would like to know more about you,
also send me some pictures of yourself and possibly that of your family too,
and please feel free to ask me any question as regards whatever you
want to know about my family.

You can also write me on [email protected] or you can add me on Skype: mrmark.smith55 for proper discussion.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Mr. Mark Smith

Hello, please I'm from Czech republic and with this "Mr. Smith" I wrote, he sent a contract from UK Border Agency (e-mail: [email protected]) and I sign this contract. There were duties, discipline, money, about family. Is it really a scam? And in e-mail was, that he has s wife, but on a photo are only he and son. What am I doing? Please, help me.

Welcome here levandula.

Yes, this is a scam! Thank you for posting that fake UKBA home office email address, this is used in a scam before, as you can see here:

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=31357

Is the contract the same as in that other post? All the emails that were send to you are written by a scammer and the best thing to do is to stop writing to this scammer, then he will leave you alone.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

Yes, it is almost the same. It's horrible, but who is the man in photo and child? I'm very curious, if will send e-mail Mr. George from Agency to me.

Dear Applicant,

I wish to acknowledge the receipt of a copy of your signed contract letter of employment with your employer/sponsor Mr. Mark Smith.

You are hereby notified that a request has been submitted for the commencement of the processing of your travel documents. You are also to bear in mind that for you to work in the UK legally you need to get a certificate of Eligibility. Your Employer Mr. Mark Smith has advised us to help you in the process of your certificate of Eligibility for you to get your National insurance number to work with him as a legit Au pair here in United Kingdom.

Find below the necessary steps you will take to enable you obtain your work identity card for foreign nationals/Certificate of Eligibility.

A registration certificate is a document issued to an EEA national, which confirms the holder's right of residence under European law. Although you do not need a registration certificate to be able to enter or live in the UK, however, to complete the process of legitimizing your contract relationship with your employer Mr. Mark Smith and thus enable you to work here legally, it is strongly advised that you adhere to these instructions as has been explained to your employer/sponsor.

You have to bear in mind that this is merely due process and is not in any way prejudicial to your rights as an EEA national. This is in accordance with immigration rules in the UK.

To apply, you must send the following documents and information to complete the new points-based system(PBS):

--- A valid identity card or passport, issued by your EEA member country (Scan and email to me)

--- 2 Recent Passport Photographs (scan and email to me)

--- Evidence that you qualify for the documentation; however your contract letter of employment which you already signed and sent to me satisfies this requirement.

--- An address reachable by courier services for you to receive your documents

--- Your receipt of proof of Verification/Confirmation of Mandatory Basic Travel Allowance. (See attachment COEUK2013) for more information.

The following fees has been provided by your employer for the processing of your documents:

Your flight ticket from Czech Republic to London, England, UK (LON) sun. march 31, 1 traveler and other included charges.

Note also that the flight information above have not been booked yet. The booking will be effected after receiving all other needed documents.

The total fee paid by your employer is 240 + 978 + 878 = 2,096.00GBP.

You are expected to show proof of availability of travel allowance, this is to prove that you are capable of taking due care of yourself before you are paid your first salary and thus not constitute unreasonable burden on public funds which is clearly against public policy. Refer to the attached (COE UK2013) document for further instruction on how to meet this requirement.

These requirements will have to met without delay so that your travel documents can be possessed as soon as possible. You have to read the attached form carefully and Try to meet up with the border requirements

And there is attached file, where is... that my mother or father (somebody in my family) must send 650GBP....( Your Father or Mother or selected next of kin should Visit the nearest Western Union or Money Gram Post Office, Western Union or Money Gram agent or Western Union or Money Gram Shop close to you and make the deposit of 650GBP with your name as the receiver to United Kingdom which is your insurance allowance following the transfer instructions above carefully for our verification and confirmation.) :? and.... Note: Ensure that the receiver is you so that only you can withdraw the deposit after the verification of deposit has been carried out. This is not a payment but a deposit for verification which is why it is in your name as the receiver and to also fulfill that you have funds to support yourself as is the mandatory process for your financial security when you arrive here till you receive your first salary from your Employer.
It is absurd, right?

Yes Levandula, it is completely absurd.

As a citizen of the Czech Republic you don't need to comply with any immigration formalities to enter and work in the UK, except from showing your passport at immigration control. There are no immigration fees to pay or formalities to complete.

The person e-mailing you is trying to confuse you, but he is only showing how confused and ignorant he is.

There is no point mentioning this to him as he will only make up another reason for you to pay him money. He is an ignorant liar and thief. Dealing with him is pointless. All he wants if your money. He is not offering you a job.

CAR ADVERTS - If a car seller mentions escrow - he's scamming you Never ever for any reason pay anything until you have seen and inspected the vehicle
