Scams offering fake Au Pair positions
by myalacrity Tue Jan 08, 2013 3:48 am
Hello. A while back I registered an account with www.Philaupair.com and filled out the needed information. However, since I have registered I have been receiving lots of scams and spams from my email, the said email was the one I used at the aupair site. When I tried to log in to delete my personal details, I can't access to my account and it seems like the site was not active anymore since I don't receive any feedbacks . How can I remove my personal information from the said site? Thank you.

I feel the site is legit but is an invite for scammers, who will run visa scams when offering jobs in UK etc.
I have looked at profiles and girls say they want work in Denmark where the site originates and UK etc .That's a concern since people from Phillipines would not be able to come to UK for this work. It looks as if there is a general lack of knowledge and reality and the site gives no advice or links to advice. I am unsure what you mean about the emails received but if you posted visible information about your email address this is what you will get. I don't know if someone got into your profile and changed password and email address for it . I suggest you contact the site in the box provided.

The website is working and appearing on my screen with no problem. I would go along the brown coloured bar at the top to 'Contact Us' Send a message asking to have your details removed should be all is needed I would think. Unfortunate scammers play and piggyback on sites like that which is dificult for the honest folk.

Also seeing the contact email addresses are gmail and yahoo, and not with the website domain, it doesn't look very trustworthy. My impression is of someone trying to earn money with this website without caring about wether to bring families and au pairs together. There are also a lot of scammer profiles on there. As said above, when you come from the Philipines it is impossible to become an au pair in the UK. To become an au pair in Germany you need to speak and read German. And i found some usefull information for Denmark:

Language requirements: The au pair must be able to speak and understand a reasonable level of Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English or German.

Residence permits are mostly given to au pairs who come from European countries or from countries with similar backgrounds and lifestyles to Denmark.

Info can be found here:

Edit: I just noticed that you can only register after paying a fee, and you can pay with western union. Therefore this can't be a legitimate company, if it is one, as western union can't be used by companies.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

I also thought of that too because I noticed their way of payment. There are also no testimonials from successful applicants and there is no way to contact the aupair families, otherwise if you pay for a member's fee. I already contacted them and requested to remove my profile. I was wondering if they will really do that. Thanks anyways.

Job description of au pair/nanny I am seeking for a live in nanny and a driver to come take good care
of my kids.

Aside from the presence of the boy I have seen that stolen photo of the man by himself (Brad from Focus Hawaii Model Agency), hundreds of times and that pic is on hundreds of active scam profiles and also antiscam sites. Even the name used is a giveaway.
He would not be on a sticky wicket if he held his left hand up and said "I AM A LIAR."
