Dear Au Pair,

I am looking for an international Au pair to provide loving care for
my child. We live here in London UK, and we have an incredible culture
that I would love to share with you. I am looking for someone who is
honest and God fearing.

There are Language Schools in our area, for the Au- pair who may be
interested in taking courses. I would be willing to provide assistance
with tuition, and you will be entitled to health insurance.

A typical job description would involve helping me to get the child
ready each morning and get him to preschool by 8 am, pick him up
around noon and retu rn home for lunch and nap time.

The majority of the enrichment time I would expect from the Au- pair
would occur in the afternoon after the child wakes up from naps. I
usually return home by 6 p.m.

Send us an e mail with Introduction about yourself and any recent picture.

I hope to hear from you on your position about this.
Here's my number and email +447031989408 [email protected]

Regards,
Dr.Nelson Micheal

I'm quite sure they are scammers but I need a proof. I'm worried and I don't know what to do, please help me.
Thank you very much for your time.

Your suspicions are correct.

The first one can be identified by the English alone, which is clearly African, not British.
But the absolute proof can be found here:

You have to go through it and accept by signing and also contact the
UK Home Office with the signed contract letter.
Here is there email address; ( [email protected] )

You have to apply for a visa in your own country. You cannot do so by email--the process never works this way. More importantly, email addresses @london.com are free email addresses by mail.com, and have absolutely no connection to any part of the UK government. An official government agency would have an address that ends in .gov.uk.

As for the second, the actual email is full of copied material, so the English isn't quite as obvious (though there are signs in the writing on this one too)--but the phone number is a dead giveaway. Phone numbers starting with 4470 or 44070 are not real UK phone numbers--they are redirect numbers that can be forwarded to phones all over the world. They are used most frequently by scammers who are pretending to be in UK when they are not. A real employer in UK would not have one of these phone numbers.

UK only allows au pairs from certain countries. One of the first things you should do is make sure your are eligible to become an au pair in UK--if you are in a country that is not allowed, then you know that all offers are scams.

If you're not an EU citizen and you are offered a position as an au pair by someone claiming to be in the UK it is very likely to be a scam.

The only non-EU citizens likely to be eligible to work as an au pair in the UK are detailed here under the TIER 5 (YOUTH MOBILITY SCHEME)

http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/working/tier5/youthmobilityscheme/

The countries and territories participating in the scheme, and the number of places or certificates of sponsorship allocated to them for 2013, are:

Australia - 35,000 places
Canada - 5,500 places
Japan - 1,000 places
Monaco - 1,000 places
New Zealand - 10,000 places
Republic of Korea - 1,000 places (certificates of sponsorship)
Taiwan - 1,000 places (certificates of sponsorship)

As those places are limited, au pairs who are citizens of one of those countries would have to check with the British Embassy locally to discover if there are places available, so that any suggestion that you have been awarded a job must be fraudulent.
