Hi everyone! I apologize if I made a mistake in posting this topic, but I wanted everybody to be aware of the scam.
I've been contacted by this mother, called Marta McCready, from the site aupair-work.net/.
Sadly, I don't have anymore the first email, but that's what she wrote after a few email exchanges.
(I only realized it was a scam after signing the contact!)
She then sent me some family pictures, and a contract. For a "lucky" coincidence, I happened to be in London for a weekend (I'm italian). So, I asked to meet her. She said she was too busy.
I should have figured it was a scam when she refused!
We then kept exchanging emails. She gave me the contact of the Home Office ([email protected]), and made me sign the contract.
After that, I got an email with all the procedures and all the documents apparently required: I was supposed to have a National Insurance Number/Work Scheme Card and of course I was supposed to pay a deposit of 650 GBP (Western Union/Money Gram). When I asked for explanation about this amount of money to the mother, the barr answered me, telling me that it's all for my own safety and that I would have got my money back after my arrival.
I knew by then it was a scam.
It was indeed too good to be true: 25 hours of work, a salary of 250 GBP, a house in central London. Furthermore, it was them who contacted me, and they said I was their perfect choice. They kept also telling me "we are nice people" and that they would have paid all my flight expences.
So, pay attention!
If you want any more details about this family, just ask!

I informed you in the previous messages I sent to you that I went though your profile at aupair-work.net
and decided to contact you. We live in the Central part of London at Rudyard Grove, NW7 3EG, London,
United Kingdom. I've informed you also about this.
Basically, we talked to our friend who had someone that worked for her earlier about this.
She advised us that if we must invite someone to work with us, then we have to make sure
that we go into a written Agreement to legally back it up which will detail your:
* Duties and maximum period of work time per week,
* The Salary/ Privileges you will get from us which will be stated,
* The period of time that you will be available to stay if we find you interesting,
Our obligations etc, and many other relevant information for you to go through and accept.
My Dear husband has already consulted our attorney that works with UK Home Office
to process the preparation of an invitation letter of agreement and offer of employment as I informed you earlier.
Therefore, I will get back to you with it as soon as it is ready by this week.
I will also inform you about the most convenient date for you to arrive.
* My daughter Jenny loves outing, mostly during the weekends. She likes visiting the Park,
beach and some times shopping. Also, she loves music and can easily learn. Sincerely, she is very clever.
*Your duties are basically at home and you have your own room alone in our home.
It is a self content with a proper convenience. It is a big sel content room situated close
to Jenny's to create a close relationship between both of yaou.
Your room has already been equipped with appliances and a free internet services which everybody
uses at home. Your family are also free to come for a visit at any time.
It has a suitable standard convenience (standard Bathroom and a toilet); it is a suitable self content room.
But if you want a live-out position, we will then discuss about it and I will provide
an accommodation very close to our home to aid your services, so you don't have to be bothered.
I informed you also that we don't have pet, my daughter's favourite food is rice and we don't have problem
with meal and diets since we eat simple food.
-You will have free weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) for your personal life.
It is 4-5 hours per day that you have to work. That is between 7:30am-8am, you will help dress my daughter for school.
I take her to school every morning myself while driving to work, and sometimes my husband does so.
Then, from 12:30pm-5pm, when you are required to bring her back from school. Her school dismisses by 12:30pm.
This is mainly the time I require you to be around since I will be at the Office by then.
You will have to give her lunch which I have already prepared, stay and may be play or hang out
with her until I return from work by 5:30pm.
We are lovely people and we will do our best to make sure that you don't regret it at all.
The English language school close to our home will teach you how to speak, make sentences
and write in English language. I guess they also issue out certificates after a satisfactory result.
We will take care of the cost of your lectures and acquisition of knowledge. You will have time to attend
for these classes because you will be quite free from 8:am when my daughter will be in school until 12:30pm
when you are required to go and bring her back from school.
I will attach some of our recent family photos for you to get used to when next I write to you.
I don't really have time now due to my work condition and schedule for now.
Meanwhile, your room is painted milk white colour although I don't know if you love the colour?
I will also send you a picture of the room later.
Do have a nice week ahead.
Best regards from my family.
Mrs. McCready
