It's a scam.
The pay is ridiculously high (a real job will not pay that much), and the writing is not that of a British person, but of an African author.
A quick search finds this (now deleted) profile and shows that last month, instead of being a banker, this scammer was an engineer, and the family name was Jones instead of Wederal.

Welcome to Scamwarners Dolces and I regret to say that it is undoubtedly a scam.

If you are located outside the EU it is not possible to obtain a visa to work in the UK as an au pair.

The usual intent of au pair scams is to make a victim believe that if they pay a scammer fees they can get them a visa - they can't.

I am a retired UK banker and this is not the writing style of someone who works in a bank and, a banker who can afford an au pair would be quite a senior executive and much better educated. The writing style suggests that the writer isn't English at all.

Dotti beat me to the reply.

One of the errors in that message is common in West African English. The other, I can't place for sure.
