I got that kind of massage:

Hi, We are looking for someone who loves children and is kind and caring.

We are both hardworking professionals and we are looking for someone who can take care of our only child.

We live in a pleasant but quiet town of London. We are kind, friendly and would welcome you as part of the family and do our best to make your stay a happy one. You would be given a spacious room with your own bathroom and internet access too. There are lots of other au pairs around our residence.

You will have time off during school hours and there are language schools nearby. We will help you with your study if you want to take a course. We look forward to hearing from you.

Contact us with your resume/pictures and how soon you can start.

Warm regards.
Mr Gabriel Rojas

And then i ask for more info about his family and get this:

Did you apply through an au pair agency, or did this person send you the message out of the blue?

If the domain he gives you for the UK Home Office doesn't end in ".gov.uk", it is a scam. If he gives you a phone number beginning +44-70, it's a scam.

Please do post their next email, but I don't need it to tell you that it is a scam. It is definitely a scam.

-The English is clearly African.
-Parts of that script are copied from other scams.
-Citizens of EEA countries do not need a visa to work as an au pair in UK. There are no inquiries to "file" through the Home Office. A family that was really hiring an au pair would know that.
-A quick google shows he got his own claimed address wrong.
