Hi, sorry for asking again, but could you tell me what do you think about that?
Hello Agata,
We are looking for an aupair to join our family. We saw your profile on newaupair.com and maybe we have a good fit!
We live in Belgium, in a green suburb of Brussels. Our house is a 5mn walk to the Genval train station which is a 20mn train ride from the centre of Bruxelles. My husband James and I are in our early 40s, we have two kids: Robert (4) and Audrey (2). We are an international family: James is American, I am half Swedish, half Czech. The kids are both good - happy, high energy and well-adjusted in school and daycare. Robert's school is across the street from our house, and Audrey's day care is a 10-minute walk. James and I both work full time, and I am away two days a week.
On the two days I am away each week, we would need you to take the kids to school/day care (around 8:00), pick them up (around 17:30) and then take care of them until bedtime. On other weekdays, James and I usually take the children to and from school/daycare, and then we can work out between the three of us (you, me and James) who will cook, clean up after dinner, and get the kids into bed. On weekends, we would like you to watch the children one day/evening - we will agree on the weekend schedule jointly with you so that everyone can have time to do fun weekend things. On average you would be with the children approx. 20 hrs per week, however on some rare occasions we want to be able to leave you with the kids for a weekend - and we understand you may also want to take a weekend trip.
No housework/cleaning is required apart from: the normal cleaning in the kitchen after you use it, helping kids to tidy up after they play, and of course your own room and bathroom. We have a washer and dryer so you can wash your own clothes, too.
You can have a friend over whenever you want, and we have no issues if a friend stays the night.
Our general expectation is that you would participate in family dinners but when there is no "family dinner" then you can eat either with the kids or on your own before/after. We will of course make sure to keep whatever food you like in the kitchen.
If you have read all the way through to here then we may have good fit! We would be happy to answer any additional questions you may have. You can also contact our previous aupair for a reference.
With kind regards,
Ulrika
