Welcome to Scamwarners jjanikapp.

I regret to say that it is very clearly a West African scammer from the poor standard of English and the style of writing. There are also some very silly factual errors and things are mentioned that are just socially unacceptable.

Usually the scammer is going to want you to pay visa fees but as you will be aware, as a resident of Finland, you won't need a visa or work permit to work or come to the UK. The scammer probably doesn't know this and he would still try to make you him fees.

Can you post his e-mail address so that other potential victims can be warned if they make a Google search ?

Yes it's a scam. The scammer doesn't know what country he comes from.
Below is an easy form that he just fills in to suit what he wants to send, he just adds a suitable country.
We were posted on contract to ( UK ) were we currently reside but we would be returning back to ( USA ) after our contract expires.

The number +44 704 2061632 is a redirect service number to West Africa and not a UK one at all. Scammers like this because it seems to appear real, but it's expensive to use. They can however use stolen card or bank account details to pay for it as usual. The money is grossly inflated. Of course they will send details of a fake agent and ask for passport copies. However for all such Visa Enquiries you need to deal with UK Border Agency/ British Embassy in your country and look for the information on their websites.

It is virtually inevitable that any offer of an au pair job from the UK is a scam. It is simple economics.

A family can receive up to £300 a week from the government to cover childcare costs, but that doesn't apply to employing an au pair (The childcare must be registered or approved). This means that as well as losing that benefit the family will also have to pay the salary and expenses of the au pair, which would be a staggering figure if you take the scammer's figures in the first example.

https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/childcare-tax-credits

This would mean that as well as losing benefits of up to £1,200 a month the family would be paying the au pair £2,000 a month, making an overall cost of £3,200 a month or £38,400 a year.

I'm not saying that it's impossible that a UK family would employ an au pair, but I doubt very much that it happens frequently, as even families wealthy enough to employ an au pair would not see the point in losing out on benefits and employing someone to look after their children who isn't qualified, as all childcare facilities in the UK are strictly regulated, as I'm sure they are in Finland.

The scammers haven't a clue about life in Europe or the West.
