by Rox Campos Tue Jun 25, 2013 1:09 pm
Hello, I created my profile at this place, and since I did I´ve received lots of e mails, offering me to work at UK,
this is the last one I received, but I was not able to find any information about this person.
Can you help me out?

Hello,

After viewing your interesting portfolio on easy au pair website, I wish to discuss the possibilities of having you as our Au pair.

I am an American widow working and living in Ghana. I work for The DFID (Department for International Development); I work as an assistant medical director.

I have a 2 and 5 years old sons plus a 3 year old Daughter and we are looking for an Au Pair from any Country that can speak English and is willing to stay with us for a minimum of 6 - 12 Month. My Children have been staying with my parents in California since I lost my husband almost a year ago. My parents are old and really need help with the kids that is why I would like an Au pair that can start as soon as possible. My dispensation in Ghana will only last for 1 year after which I will be back to the US.

Indicate your interest by sending me your picture, phone number and some character references for me to evaluate and consider you for the position. If selected you will be travelling to California, USA to take care of the kids for a minimum period of 6 - 12 months. I shall take care of your travel expenses. Please reply this e-mail if you would like to discuss the position with me, send your picture and introduce yourself.
Cheers,
Mrs Shirley Lawson.

The person writing that letter is not American.
The English tells me that the author is in fact African. He is also completely ignoring how US au pair regulations work (actually he has no idea, because he doesn't actually care--he just wants to steal your money with a fake job.)

It's definitely a scam.

Unfortunately, scammers have found these fake au pair positions to be very profitable for them, and they will target ANY website designed to introduce au pairs and families.
