Scams offering fake Au Pair positions

Hello everyone,

We are an Irish couple living in the suburbs of New York, 25 miles from New York City. We have two beautiful children who we adore and are looking for someone to take great care of them. We are not looking for Mary Poppins because she does not exist, we are realistic but of course we want the best for our kids. Please understand that I was a live in nanny when I came to the US 20 years ago and still remember the things that I did and did not like about that job. I'm not looking for someone to do it all, just someone to help and be my right hand since I sometimes work a lot and other weeks I'm home a lot and we can have more fun. We're not looking for someone else to raise the kids for us, just to be there to pick up the slack. I If you are a morning person, that would be really great:):):) I would also like some help with the housework but am not expecting anyone to look after two babies and clean every day. If you would be happy to sweep and mop the floor once a week, great:):). Keeping the kids rooms tidy and clean would also be great. I am happy to do all the major cleaning fi you watch the kids:)

I'd like to think that we are a cool couple to work for, we like to laugh and want you to love living with us as well as love looking after our children. We are very young at heart and open minded and not stuck up or prudes:) It would certainly be a plus if you are into babies and understand the challenges of the little ones. We definitely need someone with patience.

We would be happy to help anyone looking to improve their written or spoken English.

We are pretty easy going people and would like honest responses from you all. Don't write what you think I want to hear, please describe your true self. Nobody is perfect and we are not expecting perfection. We will consider candidates that are the most real. We want you to enjoy working for us and be able to talk to us about any problems you are having with the job.

Thanks for reading my long message to you all and I hope to meet one of you soon.

Duties would include the care of a baby girl who is 13 months and a boy 26 months. When I (the mom) am at work I will need someone who is capable of taking care of both kids and to be my helper when I am home. I often work from my home and some days I am in and out a lot but a lot of the time I am on a separate floor in my home office. Any help will be great for me. -

Salary is between $100 and $200 per week. We can also include a gym membership for the local gym which is in town a very short walk from our home. Our FANTASTIC nanny will be leaving us at the end of October. She would be willing to talk toy anyone with any questions about us or the job. I work a varied schedule and am around the house a lot. Some mornings I leaver as early as 5am but most days the kids wake at 7am so the start would be 7.30 or 8am. Right now our nanny finishes by 5.30 to 6pm but we would like to stretch that to 7pm so we can have dinner etc. but I can be flexible. We bathe and put the kids to bed ourselves unless I am not home which is not often.

I think it's really important for me to get along with our nanny and you will be treated like nothing less than part of our family.

I will update this profile again soon, I have so much to say but for now you should know that we will treat you with the utmost respect, we are looking for someone who has a genuine love for small children, we would prefer someone who has been a nanny before so that they understand how demanding the job can be and really understand what a whole day with two little ones can be like.

Looking forward to hearing any questions that anyone may have. We are an open book,

Thanks girls,

O

UPDATE:

Our nanny left and our new candidate doesn't think she can handle two little ones all day/every day so she is going to stay on as a housekeeper and work with me in my home office/business. She will be secondary help to our nanny to relieve her every now and then and do cleaning/laundry etc. Having a second person should give us all flexibility:)

I haven't seen the script before, and it is better than many scripts, but the simple fact is that what is proposed does not comply with visa laws.

In other words, what "she" suggests is not possible, because a visa would not be allowed for this arrangement.

This is what scammers do--make offers that are impossible and then try to convince their victims to send money for a visa that does not exist.

I agree with Dotti,

Could you post an email address she used or PM me the email address.

Also where did she find you? Facebook or a job site?

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.
