Thanks for posting and welcome to Scamwarners. This is an overpayment scam where the fake shipping company cannot receive credit card payments. The scammer will then send you stolen credit card information and ask that you send the shipping fee to his fake company..

Here is a sample email directing the victim to the fake shipping company.

The website is in the process of being reported for fraud.

I recently received an order using the same delivery address and using the shipper name of Mr. John Lee. The delivery address was exactly the same as the one in the Kerson letter. I own a business making dolls used in police investigations. A Mr. Royson Thompson ordered 120 dolls. I became suspicious when he asked that they be shipped to Turkey. He asked me to email a particular shipping company. Mr. Lee at the shipping company sent me a quote for $3000.00 and stated I had to wire the money to them as they did not accept credit cards. Thanks for posting this! Appreciate it.

We also heard from Royson Thompson. He asked that we go through allied logistics and provided an email. Because he didn't provide a phone number or any other information in his email correspondence I was looking to see if I could find any information on him and I came across the information on this website. I'm so glad I found this before we moved any further forward with this transaction.

The whole thing did seem odd, as he did not seem to care about the design for the banner he was ordering, he did not have any comment on the pricing we provided, he didn't answer all questions put to him and he called me by the wrong name. He wanted the banners shipped to Austria as well. The whole thing was quite unusual.

Hello - I am responding to the thread about Royson Thompson and shipping to Austria via Allied Logistics with Roland Webb as a contact. First off, I thought [email protected] was a red flag already. No international company of that size uses @outlook.com. Plus there was no company information in Roland Webbs signature. That also raised a red flag.

Mr. "Thompson" and I have been in contact for about 1 week now and he called and gave me credit card information this morning and asked that I charge $5,000 and then when that authorization goes through, to charge the remaining balance. I told him that any charge whether it's $5 or $5,000 take 24 - 48 hours for authorization. He then became very anxious and asked that I charge the card for entire balance of $10,777 and for me to put him on hold while I find out if it had gone through. I said ok, put him on hold and called my bank. I told them it sounded very fishy and they told me that I should call him back and ask him to come up with another form of payment - Money Order or Cashiers Check. So I called the CC Company of this card and reported suspicious activity on the card and the representative told me that the location of where Mr. "Thompson" was, was NOT the location of the cardholder. Mr. "Thompson" gave me all of the necessary information including the security code on the back but when I asked him for an address, he wouldn't give me one citing "he was moving offices so the billing address would be incorrect and he would call me back Monday with the correct address". That was the 3rd red flag. The name on the credit card was also a different name in which he replied that it was his bosses credit card, which is not uncommon. But still another red flag. After speaking with my bank and the bank of the CC, I contacted Mr. "Thompson" back and told him he needed another form of payment, which of course he was unable to provide and immediately hung up.

Well an update to Mr. Royson Thompson ~

He emailed me back this morning with another credit card - all the information included. Name, Address (which he was unable to provide last week), everything. Of course already knowing this was stolen information I Googled the name and address on the credit card he gave me and spoke with a Dentist in Oklahoma who was NOT looking to buy 100 banners and ship them to Austria. Imagine that.......Anyway, he has been blowing up my phone today and I've been ignoring his calls. I sent him an email stating that I've reported all of his information to the local authorities fraud bureau as well as the Attny Generals Office - Fraud Dept. He called me 2 more times after that and about 20 min later, my phone stopped ringing.

Please be cautious!! If there is ANYTHING that raises a red flag - question it!

If customers are serious about purchasing they will appreciate you taking the time to question.

Thanks I now know. I didn't contact as they had sent this to another email I have that has nothing to do with banners. Although I do make banners they didn't know that...lol
