I would suggest that anyone having issues with PetFood 247 contact the Dept of Fair Trading. You can lodge a complaint online. I lodged one a few days ago and they contacted Gary McDuff yesterday. I also recieved an email from Pet Food 247 yesterday (must have been just after Fair Trading contacted him) saying that my order has been dispatched. This was the first reply I have had from them since placing my order 3 weeks ago.

He has given Fair Trading a different story saying that the product was shipped and returned to him because it was not claimed (not true as I did not recieve any notification of attempted delivery). He has also told Fair Trading that he has posted a refund cheque to me.

I will wait to see what happens this week but at least I have recieved some sort of response. I did ask Fair Trading what they will do about this as obviously this is happening on a very regularl basis. They are monitoring his actitvies and if we keep complaining, they might take action.

I ordered from them back in April for over $200 worth of items "in stock, delivery 3 days".

I had the same story as everyone else, no replies to emails, voicemail full and of course I eventually bought elsewhere after reporting them to my credit card company.

Out of the blue yesterday I got an "order dispatched" email, a full 6 weeks after ordering. Of course (if true) this is no use to me whatsoever.

The funny thing is I used them one time before earlier in the year and they took about a week to deliver without any problems. Of course I will never use them again now!

I actually got through to their answering machine today :oh-joy:

I've already lodged a complaint with Fair Trading and told them so in my message - let's see what if anything happens :?

I actually recieved a cheque in the mail the other day with full refund. I think they posted it the day Fair Trading spoke to him. Hopefully the cheque won't bounce! Have since bought the product elsewhere and received it within a couple of days. I hope this is the end of my dealings with Petfood 247.

Hi Everyone here, I am so regreted to place a order on petfood247 1 week ago, cause usually my online order gets arrive to me for max. 5days. I started to realize something may go wrong, wish I could do a goodling b4 place any online order. If I do not receive my order by next Thursday, will go to fair trading to lodge a formal complaint! This sort of online business should not be existed. :cry:

Well Petfood 24/7 is d1fferently a scam.
I ordered dog biscuits 3 months ago..still haven't received.
Taken my money..phoned them...no reply... emailed them to three different email addies,still no answer.
I am dealing with my bank at the moment...regarding the theft....and the fraud dept.

They should be taken off line... so people do not have to go through this,can't beleive I fell for it,but it looked a reputable site...you never can tell.....

Please don't buy anything from this company...

Hi,

I have been following this website since I purchased $250 worth of stuff from Petfood 247. I wasn't going to reply but since this has helpped me I thought I would contribute.

On 7th of June I placed my order and have not seen anything. I too like others have tried to email and phone but have not been able to get anyone to talk to me. Today I lodged a complaint with Fair Trading NSW and hopefully I will see some result. Will keep you posted.

Update. I received no reply to my last email to McDuff threatening to report him to the Dept of Fair Trading, nor have I received my goods or any email saying they've been shipped. I sent him this email this morning and will lodge a complaint with Fair Trading if I don't get a satisfactory answer from him today.

Dear Mr. McDuff,

As you have not responded to my previous email and do not answer your phone, nor have I received my goods (though you charged me for them weeks ago), you have left me no choice but to refer the matter to the Department of Fair Trading if I do not receive a satisfactory response from you by 4pm today.

Good luck with Office of Fair Trading Phoenix. I reported Petfood247 to them and just received a phone call from them telling me that its an actual business and then they proceeded to give me the mobile phone number which we've al tried - at least this time I managed to get through and leave a message but is that really going to help? OFT also told me to contact my bank for a refund - what is the role of Office of Fair Trading exactly. I cant say I've had any success with them ever. Seems as though its just to make us feel better by filling out a complaint form. As lots of people have already said - this guy needs closing down and prosecuting.

The office of fair trading and the ACCC are essentially the same organisation so dont expect any better service with the ACCC, if enough people complain they may start to do something but dont hold your breath.

Well, just as everyone predicted leaving a phone message brought no response and so far I've not received any help from Fair Trading - although it's early days yet - but they haven't helped anyone else as far as I can tell :(

I did raise a dispute with my bank and the charge now appears on my credit card statement as "disputed".

I have more faith in the bank than Mr McDuff or Fair Trading :roll:
