Welcome to Scamwarners, Rachh!

I'm sorry that you got involved with this scammer, but please don't worry too much. You haven't posted the details, but the scammer was after money and really has no use for your personal info. Did you get an email? If so, please post it, including the headers. The headers will likely show the scammer to be in a country very far away from you, probably Nigeria.

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to confirm, that I to, recieved almost the very same message
from a supposed buyer on Craigslist, as I found here.
I usually have good intuition and something just didnt sit right with me,
after reading the reply I received, from a "Mike Walker" <[email protected].
Im thinking, isnt this odd, that a person who sounds like he has plenty of
money, going on trips to London, and having a personal assistant, would be looking for a bargin on Craigslist??? I smelled a rat!!
The first email simply asked, "do you still have this?" I emailed back, "yes."
Then the next day, I received the next email...

Here is a copy of what the reply says:

Thanks for your response. I'm willing to pay your asking price and
I'll be paying with a Check which you should receive within 2
business days. As per pick-up, I will take care of that after you
received and cashed the Check . I'll also offer you an extra $20 so
that you can keep it in my favor. I'm going to London on vacation so
my assistant will issue and mail out your payment to you once you
email me your full name, phone number and contact address. I would
really appreciate if you take the posting off craigslist today and
consider it sold to me. We'll proceed on the pick-up once the payment
is delivered to you.I look forward to your full name and address for
the payment.
Thanks

I put the email address in a search, and found this site! Wonderful!!!

Im just going to email back, that I only accept cash...

So watch out for this one!!

Thanks to those that posted here about this one.

Welcome to Scamwarners, Please help!
I'm sorry that you have come in contact with this scammer. Although you've given him your address, what he is after is your money. So please try not to worry. Just stop all contact with the scammer and he will soon realize that there's no chance of money coming from you, and will move on to the next potential victim.
